Doesn't seem to be any nicer that the one I replace but it did cost more.3Buy it big box won't have itFits exactly and works well. Easier to find here than the store and price was fair. Only gripe is adjusting louvers individually is aggravating as opposed to them being connected by one tab adjustment.4Stick With Steel!Mechanism was very tight; lever was extremely hard to move which used bending while holding. Returned. Will buy steel version.Item was well wrapped for shipping, shiny as stated. Vents are individually adjustable. I did like the fact that horizontal louvers were on the outside. I only measured the outside of my existing plastic vent. I just found it on my door step and it was literally installed in less than five minutes. Fit existing hole perfectly. Screws come with it - also fit better than the previous ones (for whatever reason). The dual movement slots with horizontal on the outside are exactly what I needed! The reason I changed is that my previous vent cover directed the air right to my face at night. This register / vent cover is made of aluminum, in white. It looks sturdy enough (I wouldn't be too rough with it). Looks 1000 times better than the dingy old one! Love it. Thank you for the excellent description, which is rare with some of these products. I would have bought the wrong one.5Works so much better than the original vent Works so much better than the original vent. Wise investment and we will probably get others. 5We have air shooting 20 feet across the ceiling and it does a very good job.The curved blades make a huge difference to send air across the room! Some area of the metal was bent so it doesn t look completely attached to the ceiling. The adjuster was hard to adjust.2Be aware Be careful, this is made of thin gauge metal. The quality is OK but don t use an electric screwdriver all the way. Leave the last couple of turns to do carefully by hand. Otherwise the register will bend. Also, be aware that the mechanism to open and close these sometimes (depending on who fitted your duct work originally) didn t fit the opening. Having dome 13 of these in one day, It seems to me that each register fitting is unique. Be prepared to use your initiative. The vertical ones are the most difficult to work on given the angle of attack. Other than that I am pleased with the end result. Quieter and better air flow.4This vent is the gratest.In the event that you need a vent, don't air on the side of choosing a different one. Your vane impulses will blow you away from the HVAC Premium 14" x 6" 1-Way Air Vent, but don't duct the obvious.It works.
