    Good productIt was exactly the same as the one damaged. Price was reasonable. Installation required deep thin wall socket plus wrench5Purchased this item to use on my motorcycle lift. ...Purchased this item to use on my motorcycle lift. This makes strapping the bike so much faster and easier due to the self ratcheting design. There are a whole lot of mounting brackets and options available. I will definitely be getting more of these in the wider strap as well!5This vs. the large G3 (both are great straps!)I ended up buying this and the larger F18800 G3 and been happy with both. Initially I bought them to use them for a custom designed 8' roof rack bars that will go across my factory roof rack to load sheet goods safely and use several of these to lock them down. The build quality is excellent. I used the mini G3 to actually hoist my mining rig after trying to figure out how to safely lift the top half of the metal shelving unit and realized I can screw one end and slowly ratchet each corner. Took a little long but it lifted and lowered without an issue.I had no problem releasing as well as locking the hook in place. The damaged rubber portion is my own doing but obviously it's metal underneath so I'm not worried about the durability. While I have number of traditional ratchet straps they are often cumbersome and pain to install as well as keeping them neatly stored. I carry the mini G3 in my car at the moment until the custom rack is done but figure it'll come in handy with my roof rack I already have.The beauty of this automatic ratchet works as a safety device when I was hauling my mining rack pictured out of the basement. I installed two on top of the stairs and hooked them to the rack. Unlike other ratchet straps where you would need to manually ratchet to adjust tension, with CargoBuckle, as it retracts, the strap retracts automatically and if there are any tension, it will lock that position. I didn't have to touch the straps as I moved up slowly pulling the rig (pictured) on a roller that rode on two wooden boards and the straps will automatically lock every time I needed to take a breather. Obviously these things aren't exactly what they were designed for but it saved a lot of risking a lot in getting the rack out of the basement.The only negative thing I can think of is that I the straps were a little longer. 8-10 feet would be perfect but like anything, you can't have all the features you want. But it's also not a deal breaker.5G3 used for power wheel chair on lift with amazing results!!!!!!!!I have a power wheel chair and a lift that put it in my van. The tie-downs that came with the lift were the pull-rachet type.My wife could not get them very tight, so the chair shifted and rattled. I researched the lift mfgs. and they wanted $350.00 and up for a similar acting, but specialty tie-downs. These work great to tie my ladders down on my bed cap. 5Great solution for motorcycle trailerReviewing CargoBuckle F103745 Mini G3 -- Normal ratchet straps are a PITA when trying to strap down my motorcycle sidecar on the trailer. Biggest problem is that most ratchet straps are too long. What a great solution these things are! Once I found the ideal location, I was able to install permanent mounting bolts in the deck of my trailer that allow me to deploy these straps, use them, then store them in the garage when finished. I use four of them to secure my 800-lb sidecar outfit and they work great.5High Quality Retractable Rachet Straps!These are awesome, and I bolt them down to my Utilitrack bed rail system in my Nissan frontier. The retract into the spool assembly via a spring and when you need the strap, release the handle all the way up, pull out as much of the strap you need, and tighten it down. CargoBuckle products are very well made, and I started using there BoatBuckle products 10 years ago. And they do last, and that's why you pay a little more money for them!I HIGHLY recomeend these retractable straps, and anything from CargoBuckle!CPS5Perfect for Security Power WheelchairRecently installed chair lift in our van. These tie-downs are easy to mount and easy to use. Perfect for quickly securing the chair.5The catch lever is flawedThis used to be a quality product, I have bought them before, very robust in construction. However if you combine that construction with crappy, practically non existent springs it is all junk no matter how strong some of the construction is. The spring on the release lever is useless and does not let it stay engaged in the ratchet mechanism. Doe not hold and slips when trying to tighten load. I sure am getting tired of the junk manufactured outside the continental US. This construction constitutes a safety hazard if used in a place where people could be injured. I purchase 2 pair (2 pkgs of 2) for a total of 4. 2 were relatively OK but the other 2 had the problems. Not sure what to do with them as I am not convinced that another replacement would be much different. I will look elsewhere for something to replace.1
