Customer Reviews

Five Stars Just a beast of a pry bar. Every contractor should own one of these. 5This is an incredible tool This is an incredible tool for amateurs and professionals alike. It is really lightweight. Most wonder bars are bulky and heavy compared this one as it is made from an alloy steel. It is very durable, too. The head design makes a sharp and concise dig into wood for nail or trim removal. The claws are nearly knife sharp allowing minimum wood damage. The head has a wide flat impact point for a hammer that is perfectly placed. I keep watch over mine around fellow construction workers like it's gold. Everybody I show this too and subsequently uses it is amazed. If you have one, it's that special tool in your tool box for remodeling and construction. 5Great pry bar This pry bar is strong and light. It is a bit longer than the usual flat bars and thus gives more leverage 5Good, but somewhat specialty tool... I use use this and the following tools for demolition but mostly for correcting mistakes with nails etc.I say specialty because it is not as large as my generic 36" (right angle goose neck) pry bar which removes bent rusted 3-1/4" 16d nail with minimal effort.Still not as large or powerful as my 24" T-Type wrecking bar.My small Estwing bars I use the most because they are small enough to carry in on the belt and to get a nail started and to work together with a hammer. This is more powerful than those but not small enough to get the nail started and not as powerful as a full sized crowbar. It should not be your first or only bar but rather complement or fill in gaps left by pry bars that are smaller or larger.Geared towards:1. Professional.2. Serious DIY.3. Someone that enjoys the ownership of fine quality tools.4. Weekend warrior doing a habitat for humanity project. Hey look what I got factor.PROS:The I-Beam reduces weight - lighter than solid bars of the same style from the competition.***The hard right angle provides excellent leverage and speed in removing nails.***CONS:The claw on a standard hammer shares the same problem this tool does ... a smaller puller must be used to get the nail started - pop the head up 1/8" or so. You can remove a nail that is flush or counter sunk but it will take a large bite out of the wood.OTHER:Some overzealous reviewers of similar prybar products on Amazon claim they were able to tear out studs with no effort. That violates the laws of physics (and common sense). First, the best way to remove studs is with a standard 8lb sledge hammer by hitting at one end of the stud then pulling it out. This pry bar (due to it's length) is not intended for such purposes. It is intended to complement other pry bars - like my powerful generic 36" right angle goose neck bar which is far too large to get in to small spaces like between studs and is heavy and akward to carry around and operate. The three stand out features are:1. hard right angle with flat spot on the back where you hit it with a hammer.2. Light weight + the keyhole (another way to removes nails).3. I-beam for reduced weight + the nice paint job make is look really nice. 4Perfect Exactly what I wanted 5EstWing PB18 18" Construction Pry Bar works great, ripped out entire kitchen with 2 of these in 1 day, able to get into tight places and remove all kinds of nails even those with no heads left, would recommend buying 5
