    Only purchase if you enjoy rust around your food Do not purchase. I ordered 2 of these. I used each of these 1 time, rinsed it off and let it air dry. Both of them Rusted overnight. DONT FALL FOR IT!!!!! 1Greatest can opener ever made to date These are the best can openers ever. We have had four different ones, all break with in two weeks. We open about 30 cans a week.I can not speak for life, as we have had these only a few weeks. But even after a few weeks they are perfect.We use them for sticky syrups, so we rinse with hot water after each use, eventually we will need to probably lubricate with food grade oil to keep running smooth. But that is no big deal, considering every can opener in the past has broken or bent.This thing is sturdy. 5EZ-DUZ-IT Deluxe Can Opener Well... Easy does it, DID NOT APPLY in my experience.. But, it opens cans.. all the way open.. and better than the fancy German WMF can opener that I paid a silly amount for and had to throw away... however, that said.. unless you have VERY STRONG HANDS you will find this can opener pretty difficult to use, and if you have arthritis, you simply may want to look elsewhere for a can opener.. I had to crank so hard to operate this thing that I almost had to stop half way through the operation and let my arm and hand rest. The crank hurts the finger tips a bit due to pressure needed to turn it, but if you can endure it the extreme strength and slight pain that it takes to operate it, it will open your cans all the way without "walking off" the can or tipping the can sideways or leaving sections of the lid connected.. Ease of operation gets ONE STAR... getting the job done gets FOUR STARS.. it actually will open a can... if it weren't so hard to turn it would get five stars... nothing very special here... in my opinion, you can get can openers of this same caliber at any grocery store for a couple of bucks... 2I would give this 5 stars but for heaven s sake, it is a can opener! I recommend these. I have been trying can openers from cooking stores to grocery stores. But they hurt my hands, felt cheap, and made inconsistent cuts that forced me to pry off lids with a butter knife. Then I looked up reviews on can openers. EZ-DUZ-IT was highly recommended for good reason. It feels sturdy, it is easy to use, and the cut is smoothe and thorough. 4Great quality and value. Made in the USA! Quality made in the USA! These are sharp and awesome. I order these for family members two years after we purchased some for ourselves. We have been using the same set for two years with no problem. I still have one unit in the box never used after two years because the first unit is still going strong. Best set of can openers i have ever owned. No rust after two years of use and still opens cans like they are brand new! 5Aggravating Received two openers for a good price, but because the product is terrible, it wasn't that great a deal after all. It "skips" over spots during operation, so I had to use a knife to pry the lid off. And when the lid finally pops off, I get splattered with food. I couldn't believe how many different brands of can openers got bad reviews, but now I understand. I'm going to order the OXO again, even though that was aggravating too: It took multiple attempts before it would "engage" the can, but once it engaged, it glided along smoothly. 1Minor safety flaw . Seem like good can openers but one had a burr on the operating handle right where a finger would press down and get cut. I ended up cleaning it off with a file and emery cloth. I prefer to purchase American made products when I can, but paying more for something with such an obvious QC oversight is dismaying. 3rusted within one week, plus one of the black handle covers fell off after three days DO NOT PURCHASE....it opens cans if you enjoy using a rusted piece of metal to do so. Tossed out because the rust started forming after I washed twice. I have never had anything rust so fast before. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. If I could rate zero stars I would, I am forced to select 1 star. 1This will be the best can opener you'll ever buy This will be the best can opener you'll ever buy. I have bought almost every make and model..I'm also ambidextrous but more lefty so lefty's have a harder time...not with this one...also no freaking plastic to wear out..oh and it's american steel..for those who don't remember what that means....it means this won't bend and twist like chinese steel....I bought two in case one broke well more than a year later and the other one is still new in it's package oh and the one I use not a bit of rust or gunk like you get with the subpar openers from foreign steels. 5Over hyped. Was looking for a nice, cheap, durable replacement for my tefal can opener that wouldn't grip properly anymore. I would say the EZ-DUZ-IT fits the cheap and durable categories, not so much the "nice" one. Ergonomics are rather poor; a decent amount of pressure is needed to open cans, and there is no padding on the turning lever, while the amount of padding on the handles is rather pathetic. Long story short; if you need to open more than one can at a time, your hands will hurt.I would not buy this again. Being made in the US is something these can openers have going for them, but not much else. You'd think from some of the other reviews that being made in the US somehow makes this better than everything on the market, but unfortunately, it's no magic pill. Even more unfortunate is the fact that these are most likely very durable (if they were more comfortable/ergonomic, this would be a pro!) and I will not be able to replace them under the pretext that they broke anytime soon. 3
