Can t get labeling glue off! I bought this because I didn t want to cook on nonstick chemicals. But the label on this pan was stuck on with some kind of glue that doesn t come off. It is on the cooking side of the removable bottom where food goes. So if I use this the glue will be in my cake. What genius thought this labeling would be a good idea? 1Excellent pan - great for 8 qt IP I bought this pan to use with my 8 qt Instant Pot. It fits perfectly! I have the pans with the spring on the side, but this is much easier to clean, even if you forget to spray the pan. The bottom pushes right out and you have the plate on the bottom. This makes serving what ever you make very simple. If I use my oven to make a cheesecake, I will use the spring pans, but in the IP, this is definitely the way to go. I highly recommend! 5I cannot fathom how that was the best choice to use on this product I ansolutely WANT to give this five stars. I ve used it and it works very well. However, two major issues. One, it s not dishwasher safe, which is absolutely not remotely obvious in the description or on the label that arrives with it.Two, and MUCH more significantly, the silicone/glue used to adhere the label to the flat bottom of the pan. I worked on removing the stickiness for DAYS. Alcohol, Goo Gone, Dawn dish soap, plastic scrapers, duct tape, ALL of them failed. The thing that finally worked was a magic eraser and some serious elbow grease. Which completely messed up the finish. I cannot fathom how that was the best choice to use on this product. It absolutely bothers me that I had to try so many different chemicals to finally have a solution. That adhesive does NOT work at all with this pan. 3Seems to be good quality but..... Well made BUT.....two things. First, I freely admit I may have missed the warning, or maybe should have known better, but I saw nothing to tell me I couldn't put this in the dishwasher. BIG mistake. It ruins the anodizing on the surface. It's still useable but kinda ugly. Hand wash unless you want it to look like you've used it 100 times.Second, I found this by doing a search for a pan that fits a 6qt Instant Pot. Little did I realize that yes, it fits, but the default on the order page is 6"x3" when, in fact, you can order (in the pull down) a 7" which is really what fits best. Again, my bad, but just to keep you from making the same mistake. 3Functions well, but finish is delicate. Pros:The 7" size fits easily inside Instant Pots that are 6 quarts or larger. Check measurements of other pots before ordering, allowing for space around the sides.Pan's 3" sides are a good height, allowing for full size dishes despite it having a reduced diameter.Pan cooks evenly.Bottom disk removes easily from the pan after baking if prepped in advance with nonstick spray, oil, butter, etc. To remove the disk from your cooked food it is advised to apply a circle of parchment paper to the inner disk and spray that, as well, prior to filling the pan with recipe ingredients.Pan does not rust.Pan is a good weight and does not warp when handled or during baking.Cons:The adhesive used to attach the paper Fat Daddio's label to the pan bottom is still an issue. Why adhesive is used at all is a mystery. Following the advice of another reviewer I was able to get the adhesive off using non-acetone nail polish remover, which did not damage the finish of the pan.The pan finish is somewhat delicate and must be washed by hand to prevent discoloring and possibly flaking, as reviewers who have washed it in a dishwasher have attested.Care must be taken when removing foods from the pan. I used a smooth plastic non-sharp knife to release the sides of a cheesecake but even that cut a ring into the bottom inner edge of thin gray coating of the pan. In addition to lining the bottom of the pan with parchment paper, in the future I will line the sides of the pan, as well. Regardless, don't expect your Fat Daddio's pan to look new for very long.Summary: This pan would achieve 5 stars if the outer coating wasn't so fragile. 4Great 7 inch push pan!! Great 7 inch push pan!! I purchased this pan to make cheesecake in my 6 quart Instant pot and it is perfect for that. I love the pan and think it is much better than my springform pan. I was able to create a professional looking cheesecake that was easy to remove from the pan. There are no little crevices to get food stuck in them like the springform. This is a great addition to my kitchen! 5I like it Wish I had purchased this earlier. This is now one of my go to pans. I cut my cheesecake recipe and other dessert recipes in half, which fits perfectly in this size. I love not having as many leftovers because i am making a half batch. I was concerned it was not a springform. so glad I got this pan instead. My springform always leaked, so I had to use foil anyway. I use foil with this one, just like the springform. The difference is that this is super easy to get the dessert out of. It just pops out. The little round disk that is the bottom is flat and does not have one of those pesky ridges around the edge that makes sliding the dessert off it difficult. No browning problems. cooks evenly. is my new favorite size. no sticking problems. smaller size stores easily. I like it. 5GREAT PAN OK I had to return the first pan for replacement because the insert left too much of a gap between it and the bottom of the pan. Like it didn't fit flat in the bottom. This replacement fit a little better, but in both cases there was a tight connection from the insert and the side of the pan. NOTE ABOUT LEAKING: I was a little worried about leaking, especially since it was just going on a cookie sheet (no water bath). I even used a parchment round and sprayed with a flour nonstick spray.. I recently watched videos on YouTube from Americas Test Kitchen and Alton Brown... They basically said "ALL" spring form pans leak. I don't think this push pan would be any exception. There is nothing to say this is leak proof but with a thicker cheesecake batter I had no problem. Not a drop my first time out. The prebaked crust I used vanilla wafers, butter, sugar (yum) acts as a barrier for the cheesecake batter. The trick was to really get the crust tight along the edge. I didn't have any crust along the sides this time. It baked perfectly. I tested the internal temp for doneness @155F and it turned out great. It pulled away from the sides by itself, but when out of the oven, a quick plastic knife around the edge and it released perfectly. Slid right out.. Butter from the crust did leak out but I know that was maybe an issue so put this on a cookie sheet. SOOO...Use foil or such for a water bath. This is a cheesecake pan and may be a problem for a runny cake batter so I would use a parchment liner with foil wrap outside. . I'm not a pro photographer and this was my FIRST "real" cheesecake. THIS TASTED GREAT. EASY TO USE, BAKE, AND CLEAN UP.. NO STICKING!!!. I got mine on PRIME., Fulfilled by Amazon. Great Price and Fast Service! WINNER (even with the return of the first one).. A+++++ I like this 6x3 inch pan. PERFECT for a smaller treat! 5Great Pan, Seller: Please Change The Way The Paper Sticking to The Bottom to A Regular Sticker For Easier Removal! Same with some reviews that this pan is great and in good quality, EXCEPT that you need to be patient to slowly remove the round paper stick to the bottom of the pan that it seems that the glue is in industrial strength and designed to withstand a hurricane blowing at it. It leaves residue I am thinking perhaps using a small duct tape to stick up the glue, maybe. All in all, I am not disappointed except with the little glue now I need to slowly remove it and gentally hand wash in warm water to make it ready for a happy cake! First time buying a 6 inch due to calories concern so to choose a smaller size. But I think I will bake more cakes due to small size. :)Update: I applied a drop of Goo Gone onto the glue residue I was able to completely remove it. Whew! Please don t use any sharp object to remove the glue, you will damage the pan, just one drop of Goo Gone will do the job. Happy baking! 5Forget the nay-sayers. The pan is perfect. I bought this pan to make cheese cake in my instant pot. It's perfect. No problems! Unlike some reviewers, the glue used on the label came off easily and if it hadn't I wouldn't have worried because it would have been covered with parchment paper or I would have just turned the disk over . But alas, some people just like to complain. However, I have included a picture of the label because there have been some complaints about the finish of the pan after washing it in their dishwasher and the finish was ruined. Well, dummies, it is in big writing (see my picture,) to HAND WASH It! Don't be so lazy! It takes all of a few seconds and it washes very easily. My pan looks like it has never been used and it has. Perfect! So, if you are reading the reviews and see those complaints, consider them as coming from someone that can't read. Don't be afraid. Buy the pan. It fits perfectly in my 6 qt Instant Pot and works just like it is supposed to. 5
