    Recliner handle, as good as the OEM product!Our recliner handle broke, this was the perfect replacement. It's plastic like the original, it was alight fit getting the cable into the housing but I think this is by design. I used a pair of vice grips to pull the cable housing into place.As far as size, I just measure my broken unit and it matched roughly to the dimensions listed online. Paid about $13 with free prime shipping, took 5 minutes to install! 5Easy to install and quick deliveryNot much to rate here. It was an exact match for my Lazy-Boy sofa. Easy to install and quick delivery.I did find out something though. There are not many variations of recliner handles. If yours looks like this it is probably the right one. I've seen the same handles on brand name recliners and cheap ones at Walmart. Another thing...prices vary so shop around. This is the lowest priced one I could find. 5Exactly the same as the original handleI was upset when the handle broke on my 6-month old couch, and so so so relieved when I searched the web and found that it used these common and cheap handles.Once it arrived in the mail I was reclining again 10 minutes later.In that sense, this product is "perfect".3 stars based on the fragility of the original handle, presuming the plastics used in these are exactly the same.EDIT 6/2014: As expected, the replacement handle has now broken as well(and another of the 3 remaining originals). I have now located metal replacements(also sold here on amazon), so I am going to try that to see if it's a more permanent solution. From what I saw looking for my replacement, there are two or three standard styles that most manufacturers make, so if it looks like the picture it probably is the correct item.The part that broke on original was the plastic callar that holds the cable sheath. If this is ever to be redesigned, a metal reinforcement is in order. 5Fit the bill perfectlyMy cable was still working however, the release latch had broken on one of my movie theater seats. While cables vary by length, this part is standard in size and as such will work with your existing cable. Make sure you save the old one till you get the new one as a small wire that holds the cable does not come with this. Replacement handles are not available locally 5Worked great!After being told by Jordan's Furniture (I live in NH) that the manufacturer of our couch and 2 recliners went out of business and there was nothing that could be done...I ordered these recliner control handles. Delivery was 4 days. They were the exact control that we had originally and I was able to install them in less than 5 minutes.I highly recommend this as a replacement for the originals that don't seem to last. Maybe someday they will make them out of something other than plastic. 5I hope you can handle some bad news...Perfect replacement for a worn-out handle. But use caution...Update -- I ordered two just in case one broke. Eight months later, both were broken. My recliner cable has so much tension on it, the back of the housing where the cable sheath rests broke the support structure.So to fix this issue, I ordered the metal version elsewhere here on Amazon. Installed exactly the same, and so far (three weeks) no breakage. 2Nice and smooth--to install and useThe manufacturer of my dual recliner sofa routed the recliner release cable on one side of the sofa in such a way as to cause resistance. As such, the handle was hard to pull. Eventually I snapped it and broke the cable retainer structure. I ordered the above handle. It came in on schedule and fit perfectly. I re-routed the cable like the other side of the sofa and the action is now smooth and easy.If you need one of these handles, I can recommend this one. I knocked off one star because I would have liked faster shipping (Prime). 4Replace HandleReally never thought we could get a replacement handle for our recliner, but was so happy when we found one. The handle came in good time and works perfect. My husband replaced it in less than 30 minutes, so not a hard job. Paying less than $20 is much better than replacing the recliner which is still in very good condition. 5
