Saved me from throwing away an otherwise perfectly good glider rocker. 5Replacement Bearings Make a Smooth Ride I got these bearings because my glider chair was making noise and giving a rough glide (old bearings were wearing out, as they were about 17 years old). These new bearings work great, and the glide is as smooth as when the chair was new. I just had a problem that these bearings were not quite as thick as the old ones, and I had to buy some washers to shim the gaps. Because of that, it turned out to be about a 4 hour job to replace, since I had some trouble finding the washers with the right thickness. I needed lock washers to prevent the bolts from coming loose, and ended up with star washers. Bearings like this could be improved by having a textured end that won't slip after the bolt is tightened. 4Works well for my 19 years old Best Chairs glider rocker I have a Best Chairs brand glider rocker, and for the 19 years I've owned it, it has held up well, minus some spring issues. . .and, just recently, squeaky bearings. I'm surprised my old bearings lasted as long as they did. Being that my glider is my reading chair and so sit in it often, I wasn't enthused with all that squeaking. I could have bought a new chair, but. . .chairs are not cheap, at least not the comfortable ones, so I opted to find new bearings for it. After a little searching, I found these. I noticed several people used these bearings to replace the old ones on their "Best" glider rockers, which I am assuming is the same brand as mine (Best Chairs Inc.), so I decided to give them a try. Glad I did.The bearings seem of good quality, not light and flimsy by any means. They are a little different than my original bearings, but the bolt hole and the diameter of them are the same, so I figured they should work. What is different about these compared to my old ones is that these new bearings are just a tad shorter (maybe by 2 mm), has a slightly raised lip on the base and that the top of the bearing isn't completely round, is flat on two sides. Also, the very top part that the bolt screws into is smooth, while my older bearings were grooved. I attached a couple photos of the new bearing adjacent to the old one so you can see the slight differences.I only had one. . .maybe two bearings that were squeaking, but I since I had the bottom of my chair apart, I figured might as well replace them all. If two have gone bad by now. . .I'm sure the rest will follow. To change out all the the bearings, it took me about 45 minutes. Wasn't too difficult of a job. Maybe the hardest part was removing the old bearings; half them were really stuck in there, and I had to use a hammer and a thin screwdriver to pry them out. I got them all out, though, without damaging the chair, minus a little nick here and there where I had to ram in my screwdriver.After I replaced and put my chair back together. . .it is now as quiet as when it was brand-new. At first, I was a little concerned that slight height difference in the new bearings might cause some issues, like misalign the frame so to cause rubbing, but they didn't. They worked well enough. I'm thankful and happy I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars on a new chair.I give this five stars. 5Replaces bearings on Best Glider Best Glider original bearings have a knurled cup design, which concerned me because the replacement bearing had a smooth cup design. The replacement bearing fit snugly - requiring only a small wood clamp to press them into the wood. These worked perfectly. Shipping from Canada to the USA was no problem - they arrived 4 days early! It only took about an hour to replace all 8 bearings - while watching TV. 5Perfect for Best Made our 2 Best Glider Rockers new again. My wife puts a lot of rocking miles on our chairs. Both 10 years old, needed new bearings. Expensive but chairs are new again. 5They were great. They were perfect for my chair. I was able to take the old ones out and replace them and the chair works again like new. 5Works on Best Glider Rocker Bought these for our two of our Best Glider Rockers. This diameter fit perfectly, bolts worked perfectly. Only replaced the bad bearings. 5I did get my refund,,no problem thank you,,I will order again.. The product built wrong to fit my needs..the nut side was on the wrong side,, at first sight it look like the right one. If it was the right one ,the product was made very good,I wish it would have worked,,,.. 4
