It is not as easily seen during the day. I used it on my front porch which is dark wood so perhaps that made it less noticable until you were actually standing on the porch. Maybe some light colored background would make it more visible from a distance in the daytime but it is as good as can be at night. Also I liked that it has a decent length of cord from the plug to the item itself making it easier to connect with the electrical outlet which had not been the case with decorations I bought a couple of years ago.
