    Irwin Metric bolt extractor-SAAB 2002 9.3 Oil Pan Plug Removed Every Mechanic told me I had to replace the oil Pan because the Bolt was to damaged to get off...and that it would cost ocer 500 dollars to get a new pan....Guess what I bought the kit...and took the car to another mechanic after i purchased 2 new Oil pan plugs. He couldn't get it off... so i told him i had just bought the Irwin bolt remover..and had them in my trunk... He said he would give it a try....if it didn't work i would need a new pan... So he tapped the Plug with the extractor...and just like that the Bolt came off..... worth every penny.... then he asked me if i would sell him the kit....worth every penny.... 5Works like a charm Great extractor! Saved me over 300$ and many hours of work. I had a 8mm bolt that was rounded of completely the positioning of the bolt (lower screw on evap valve Jaguar STR) required a 12 inch extension so no way of using anything else than a socket, this extractor required a few light taps and off came the screw. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is facing similar issues! 5Very pleased with this product Okay, I tried a couple of other bolt extractors before this set and they all failed. I was skeptical about the success of this set, but they worked perfectly. I hammered it on a lugnut that was all jacked up, started turning it with my breaker bar, and it came right off. Great quality! 5It is great! Buy it! Short story: I ve never written a review. The product is great! Even if you re not sure you need it, buy it.Long story: I took my car in to where I bought my tires for a warranty replacement on a damaged tire. I m thinking it is taking too look so I look through the window to the shop. I ask the service writer why my oil is being drained. He says it is not being drained and they are doing a 10-point check or something. A few minutes later he says the technician mistakenly drained the oil to do an oil change and that they ll do the oil and filter for free. I get the car and months later time for an oil change. I do my own. Try to loosen the plug with a good 17mm socket and it slips with no torque. By the time I m done using a box wrench, vice grips, channel locks, hammer drill and socket, impact drill and socket the plug has no flats, it is round. I figure I now own the problem and messed it all up and I m thinking there is no way it is coming out and I ll need a new oil pan. I received the set today. I jacked the car up. I picked the best size extractor socket, tapped it on with no real force. I used a box wrench on the OD hex thinking I ll really need to reef on it. I turned the wrench to loosen with very little force and it did loosen in seconds. I ll keep the set handy. Buy it. 5Saved the day after many others failed! After trying numerous ways and other similar products to remove a severely rounded/deformed nut, the Irwin Bolt Extractor came to the rescue and took the misshapen nut right off.The only problem was removing the nut from the bolt extractor socket. That took some effort, since merely tightening the nut back on didn't free it from the socket in this case. 5Bolt-Grip works!! I tried vice grips, different type sockets, and electrical tape inside the socket but nothing worked. I wasted about three weeks trying to remove this O2 Sensor. The socket with the side opening for the wire only helped to Strip it. Wish I would of bought this first. It grips the rounded bolt and bites it, the spiral design WORKS! 5Life saver This thing saved my life from a rounded lug nut saved 5Awesome extractor set Awesome extractor set. I used this so far to remove 3 stripped 14mm head bolts out of a Volvo which had been locked in there for 20 years. We're talking overcoming close to 400lbs+ of pressure and it held up great over the course of 3 bolts. The inner spiral seems to be in good shape still, so it's probably made of a very hard tool steel.Just so everyone knows, this is for extracting bolts (heads that are 5 sided and normally undone with a 6 or 12 point socket). 5
