Junk This is so not worth the price!. It didn't fit over the tank unless I remove the tank cover. There are no holes to screw the shelf onto it so you have to make the holes yourself. Trying to return it is a nightmare. First they wanted pictures of the defective parts! Then they would take it back if I pay the shipping and send it in the ORIGINAL packing! I contacted Amazon and bitterly complained. They are going to open a claim for me. 1Not excellent but, despite a couple of surprises, very good Tempted by 5 stars, I think the product could be notably better even at the reasonable price I paid. Packaging was adequate. Assembly was simple, as was disassembly. As slight disappointments, the parts are very lightweight, and all four tabs that support the shelf, although easily straightened by pliers, were bent.Defying the instructions, I did not install the side rack, which option gladdened me. Otherwise, the instructions simply showed full assembly, leaving me to find---as obvious in retrospect---that I must remove the lower crossbar to install the product, and then place that crossbar. I do not deduct a star for the above, minor complaints.I deduct for the shelf's surprising construction and for the smattering of rust that appeared after several weeks. Although the metal seemed sufficiently anondized, rust appeared in at least one area that, nearest the sink, apparently got the most splashes. Somehow, though, the rust wiped off easily, leaving no visible trace.Unlike another reviewer, I liked the shelf's appearance. But I think that its construction should have been disclosed pre-sale: I was surprised that the shelf's surface, not hard plastic, is paper-like. It at least resists water, which beads atop it, although I wondered what chemicals accomplished that.Like the other reviewer, but not since "the laminate would be difficult to screw through", I did not screw the shelf on. Indeed, there are no pilot holes, but the laminate is tough paper, likely resilient to daily wear and tear but not to nailhead and hammer. Instead, I sought easy shelf removal for cleaning and moving. Although the shelf fit well---flat atop the previously bent supports, and flush beside the surrounding bars---dust naturally found crevices. Yet that is not a product defect. 4Doesn't work with my toilets It looks like a good design and might work for you. My toilets, however, have a valve on the side that is on the same level as the horizontal bar that stabilizes the contraption. I tried going in front or behind, over or under the valve. Not possible. I tried adhering sliders to elevate the legs, and therefore the bar, but it was an awkward solution that increased the instability of this already delicate item. The shelf, by the way, feels a little more sturdy than cardboard. A little more. Not much. I don't know how long it would hold up with the humidity inherent in bathrooms. I will return this item.My alternative solution was to buy a shelf with a front ledge and attach it on the wall next to the toilet--which turned out even better than the original plan, because items can be easily reached while sitting on the toilet, and the ledge keeps things from falling off. I bought the shelf from Amazon and am very happy with it. 2I'm happy with this shelf... I put this shelf in my powder room. It is so much nicer than the picture makes it look and it's sturdier than I thought it would be. Great purchase! 5First one better It was inches shorter than the first and I had difficulty fitting it behind my toilet. The first one had a metal shelf which was nice. This one had a piece of formica that looks like granite 3Nice but short for regular profile tanks Nice but short for regular profile tanks. Should incorporate extendable legs to fit any size tank. Would only need 2" to 4" extra leg length. 3Worked well with a few changes I didn't have the same poor experience with this toilet stand as other reviewers. This fit well above my 36" toilet (but it does have a very close clearance) and I didn't have any trouble with the back bar fitting over the toilet valves and hoses. My hose comes out of the wall about 8" up from the floor and this cleared it without any trouble. I left the rack wobbly until it was sitting over the toilet and then tightened all the bolts. This allowed for shifting and leveling and worked great. Assembly was easy with photos and instructions from the manufacturer included in the packaging.My only complaint is the "faux" marble. It's not pretty. The top is press board with a sticker laminate over the board. From a distance it's not bad, but up close. No good. I chose to spray paint it with an accent color from my bathroom and it looks WAY better. I'd probably prefer an accent color to a faux marble anyhow. Also, a heads up, not only is the faux marble cheesy looking, but part of the design is to attached the faux marble board to the rack using small wood screws. I chose not to do this for two reasons: 1) The laminate would be difficult to screw through. There are no pilot holes and you would have to screw with some force 2) The tabs to screw through aren't even or level. The board would have a high side, a low side, etc. I chose to bend the tabs as best as I could to level and just rest the board on top. I might choose to screw it in in the future, but with bars around the board keep it stable and it works for me.Overall, if you are looking for a short over the toilet organizer (and don't mind some minor modifications) this is a good choice. If you want assemble and forget it, this is a bad choice 4Great stand, hard to construct The stand, once assembled was fantastic. But one of the cross arms was welded very poorly and the connecting peg was totally crooked. I had to put the piece in a vice and use a pair of channel locks to bend it straight. It was not easy and a serious chore for something. I m a pretty strong guy and it took a lot of force to bend it, as the peg is only about 1 long. But once fixed, assembly was easy enough and it works well. 4poor design The stability bar on the back does not allow this shelf to sit behind the toiled tank because of the pipes from wall to the tank. There is not way to sit it on the floor because it is sitting on the top of the pipe. I had to remove the stability bar so it could sit on the floor, making it less stable. The top is not attractive, and although screws are provided to use on the top, there are no holes for the screws to fit into. Very disappointed in this shelf. 1It's white not black The description said BLACK.. the picture shows black. It showed up white.. Also holes drilled in the wrong spots. Really inferior product. 1
