Beautiful and solid entryway table! This is a beautiful, sturdy, and well-made table. I needed a narrow table and this is just perfect! 5worth twice the price I am a finish trim carpenter and have worked on custom yachts for half my adult life. This table is very high quality and has a prominent place in our main living space. I am very hard to please and at this price it far exceeded my expectations. One hint when assembling, once the legs have the washers and nuts installed, install the shelf pegs set the unit upright and set the shelf in place. Now tighten the nuts and the legs will squeeze the shelf tightly in place. If you tighten the nuts first you will scratch the legs trying to get the shelf in. Everything fit together nicely. I would surely order from this company again. 5TV stand arrived damaged Positives: nice looking stand, can order matching furniture.Problem: high probability of shipping damage; wood appears to be soft and light color, damage leaps out and no practical way to fix. Damaged area shows lots of light colored wood.Customer service proposed solution: shipping out entire new replacement stand (not replacement part(s)).Outcome: same part was damaged during shipping, so returned entire new replacement stand for complete refund (we'll see how that goes).Pro tips: go slow when opening, break as little tape as possible (make sure box arrows are pointing up and only open the top tape), have a vacuum cleaner handy to clean up hundreds of loose styrofoam pellets, take lots of photos as you go so you can reassemble the packaging if necessary, don't put any of the packaging in the garbage can until you are sure there is no damage (even though the room is full of cheap styrofoam sheets shedding pellets).Conclusion: not recommended.Suggested alternative: any other brand that offers replacement parts. In particular, looks like Simpli does. Am giving them a try. 3Perfect!! I bought this to go between my two side chairs and it s perfect. It was so easy to put together and is a solid piece of furniture. I am very pleased with this purchase and plan to buy one of Leick s coffee tables soon.One hint: when assembling the table I left the screws on the back legs a little loose and slid the bottom shelf in and then tightened the remaining screws. This keeps from scratching the legs of the table.So glad I made this purchase! 5This Is My Third Leick Laurent Table This is my third Leick Laurent table. The quality is exceptional, not only for a table you must assemble yourself, but for any table. I purchased this one to place in a corner of a room next to a floor lamp for display of a Bible book stand. The tablet is solid wood. You can assemble it in a few minutes; I assembled it in a few minutes and I am not a "handy" person, but a petite female who isn't necessarily sure which end of the screwdriver to use. (That might not be "politically correct", but it's my review!:-)) "Assembly" consists of attaching the four legs to the table with screws and the little screw "key" provided. Then insert "tabs" in pre-drilled holes on the inside of the table legs and slide the shelf in under the table top so that the shelf rests on the "tabs." Fini! The table is solid wood and the table is stable and rock solid. The color - chocolate cherry - is absolutely beautiful and all of the pieces in this color match perfectly. I also own the sofa console table and an end table with a drawer and shelf. The idea that you can furnish every single room of your home with perfect tables in a range of solid woods in various colors on a small budget is like a dream. But it's true. 5Beautiful and well made. After reading other reviews I splurged for the hardwood. Glad I did. Very nicely made and beautifully finished. All wood parts are fastened together with steel screws. Long bolts for the legs screw into brass inserts.I was a bit worried that the shelf just sits on large supports by gravity. But it is such a snug fit that you can turn the table upside down and it doesn't move.And it was delivered a day earlier than expected, on a Sunday! 5Perfect between recliners!! Wedge End Table This wedge shaped table was exactly what we hoped it was, perfect shape to sit between two recliners, beautiful wood finish and very well built, solid and sturdy. We are very pleased with it. It doesn't have a little drawer- that would have made it absolutely perfect- but we knew there was no drawer when we bought it. This is a beautiful small piece of furniture. The chocolate cherry finish color is as it should be- not "almost black" - but a lovely deep dark cherry, as we were hoping it would be. 5Lovely little table, easy to assemble and well-packed; maybe not for houses with small children I bought two of the narrow (12") end tables and the recliner wedge table from this page to use with Leick's TV stand: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HBWVRDE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - they are a very good color match and the styles work together.This review is for the 12" tables and the wedge table. (Note: I also reviewed the TV stand.)The end tables are super-easy to assemble. Just bolt on the legs, slide up the shelf, push in the shelf supports, and let the shelf down onto the supports. All hardware including the Allen wrench is provided. Each of my tables came with an extra flat washer and locking washer, probably because those little parts are easy to drop and lose.One thing that is not in the assembly directions but should be is that you should leave the leg bolts a little loose so the legs have some wiggle, install the shelf, and *then* go back and tighten the leg bolts. Experienced furniture assemblers probably do that automatically, but it's not obvious to assembly newbies.The assembly for the wedge table is exactly the same as for the end tables.Once together, the tables are level and sturdy. The finish is a rich, dark brown with red undertones - not "almost black" - though it does take good lighting to see the red undertones. I think they are lovely. There was one small finish flaw (a minor drip) on the inside of one leg of one table, but it's the kind of thing that you would only see if you're really looking for it. Since it is on the lower inside of one leg, I'll never see it again now that the table is assembled.The finish is soft, though. My husband scratched one table while moving it - he caught a table edge with a sharp corner of his belt buckle. I can hide that with a furniture pen, but that scratch is why I suggest this furniture may not be good for a house with small children. I'm not sure the finish would hold up to toddlers banging toys on it.As I mentioned, the packing is excellent - very well-designed. All three of my tables arrived in perfect condition, even though the boxes outside sustained some shipping damage.I am very happy with my purchases, and now I am considering getting the hall console later on for my foyer. 5Great stuff We ordered 3 different furniture items from Leick - this hall table, an End Table, and a writing desk. I could not be more satisfied with the quality. Everything about all three pieces just screams quality. The furniture is solid and beautiful.Amazingly easy to assemble. In fact, all three different pieces use pretty much the same assembling procedure (you just attach the 4 legs using 2 thick screws using an alan key. The key is included, so no external hardware tools are needed).Just beautiful, well designed, high quality furniture. Love it! 5Sweet Table This table is perfect for the spot between a leather recliner and a Stickley chair. It is all wood, not particle board or MDF. While I read the directions, I missed one small direction and so I encourage you to read all the directions BEFORE you put it together. The shelf goes in much easier the way the directions explain - you won't scratch the table legs if you follow the directions. It is a simple assembly and took only 15 minutes to put together. The finish is lovely and the color perfect for what I needed. It is more of a deep, dark cherry, than a reddish cherry. 5
