    Works really well This thinks works really well for re-sawing on the bandsaw. I just started using this along with my new blade and Carter Bandsaw Guides, and I am very impressed with the results. Veneers at a consistent 3/32" that are 10" wide. 5Great device! I now own four magswitch products and am thrilled with all of them. I've used the Resaw guide a number of times now and it performs very well. I taught adult woodworking education for 15 years and have always been very safety conscious; the Magswitch products fit well in my shop. 5Not all that useful... Well made, but I have not found it all that useful for the cost in my shop. I wanted to use it to apply pressure to my gate while re-sawing to make sure the wood stayed tight to the gate (Vertical). But variations in board thickness cause it to bind. It would work if the rollers where spring loaded, but they are not. 3Nice guide Nice Resaw guide!!! Well built. Needs to come in a kit with mag switches 5Need to square to table. Worked well, but make sure you square it up to the table. 4Works great for resawing on a table saw... ... as long as you're resawing away from the fence. If you're resawing on the fence side, you have to keep moving the magnetic base, which is not it's fault, but slows you down. It's easy enough to set it up so that it is perfectly square to the table base. 5I like it! I actually don't own the magswitch base. I made my own base out of 3/4 ply and attached this resaw guide to it. It's working very well. Resawing is so much easier with this guide. I am DIY person that usually prefers to make my own jigs rather than buying them but this was well worth the money. 5magnets have poor lateral strength This system is not as good as it might seem- they are strong - as you pull them apart- but they slide much easier. This is not good if you are looking for consistent and accurate distance. 2Check Your Bed and Saw Dimensions! They don't remind you, and I'm an idiot and forgot, that you need a ferrous band saw bed to use this! I had to add a steel sheetmetal piece to use the tool. It's also pretty tall and a tight fit on my saw. Works ok once installed. 3First let me say this system is expensive but it ... First let me say this system is expensive but it should last a lifetime. The larger magnets have 150 pounds of holding power each which is quite impressive. The whole system is well made. I have 3 separate units each with its own magnets as I am too busy to be "swapping" the base around.This unit is to replace the fence on a band saw and should (IMO) be used with a feather board. It is a "point fence" which enables resawing of bowed boards. 5
