Company is nice but Product isn t **buyer beware - lots of damage**The mugs were very nicely made, but my first set were scratched during delivery. Their customer service was fantastic and they sent me over a whole new set.Edit:The second set came with the same kind of scratches as the first. It is not terrible but it is certainly disappointing.Second edit:They send another free box over but this has actually caused me to lower my stars. They are worse off than the rest. Don t expect these to look as nice as the pictures, they won t.Third:They sent another box to me and one cup was almost perfect (discoloration on the handle, but it wasn t so bad). But the more mugs I pulled out just had more and more issues. Customer service has been nice and really trying to please but the product is just not good. 1Great mugs! Wow, these things looks amazing! Happy Customer!! 5Pretty nice, but questionable quality control 3 of the 4 cups were absolutely stunning, the last one had a fairly sizeable dent right in the front side of the cup (opposite side of the handle). I am not particularly upset, as it could have happened during shipping, but the company could do a better job of protecting the cups inside of the gift box.The intact cups are stunning - great shape, nice hammered copper style, and a very nice handle. The extra add-ons - copper straws and shot glass - are nice additions as well. The company also provided a note-sheet on how to take care of the cups so they stay in good shape, which is a nice touch, as I have never owned copper drinkware before. 4Looks better than the ones at the bar!! Seems to be very high quality and look amazing!! Wife loves the straw!! I love the drinks!! Zero issues. If you want copper mugs, buy these!!! 5Company makes dubious/false claims This company makes dubious at best claims about the health benefits of copper. The truth is, any amount of copper above a certain small amount required for normal bodily function has adverse effects. They also claim these are "food safe". They are not, at least not in the US. It would be a health code violation to use these mugs in a bar or restaurant in the US, because copper is not a food-safe material. A food-grade version would have to have an inner lining of stainless steel or nickel. This is because any sort of acidic solution will cause copper to break down & leach into the drink. On the box it says not to put anything hot or acidic in these cups. Well the Moscow mule cocktail these cups are solely made for is quite acidic. The written material on/in the box is poorly-written English, making me suspect this is a Chinese company that doesn't care about US food code. That being said, if you use these to make your own Moscow mules at home, for yourself & friends, are they going to make you sick? Probably not. Make the drink, with ice, & drink it in a timely manner. Don't let a drink sit in these cups overnight & wake up in the morning to finish it, you'll get a mouth full of coppery, watered-down booze. I don't undertand the purpose of the copper shot glass. Presumably you'll use the shot glass to measure out your vodka & lime juice. Don't do that, both are acidic. I'd just throw the shot glass out. A glass shot glas will do just as well, & it won't leach copper. 3Poor quality and scuffed up Just received these mugs in the mail and they are really poor quality. Some of the handles are adhered to the mugs crooked and the mugs are all beaten/scuffed up. Was really looking forward to giving them as a holiday gift. 1Get it, you won't regret! Unfortunately when I opened the box I was bummed to see that it was not a complete gift set. We did receive 4 beautiful copper mugs and 4 straws but no shot glass as promised in the product description. While the mugs are lovely it was disappointing not to receive all parts as advertised. If gifting someone beware that it may not be a complete set.Update- within hours of receiving our set customer service contacted us. They immediately asked for feedback on the product received. When I shared the above info they offered a replacement set that included two mugs, two straws, a stirrer and the missing shot glass, put it in the mail that night and we received it in two days. Wow! Fantastic customer service. They went way above and beyond my expectations! 5
