It is safe & portable to monitor your weight when travelling to anywhere you go. The scale is small (12"x6.25"), but would not reduce the weighing function and accuracy. It's not only perfect for toddler, but excellent for teens or adults. This scale also comes with the latest "Auto-Step-On" technology. There is no need to tap, simply step on the scale to get a reading with 5 seconds automatic shut-off to preserve battery. The scale features a wide platform and a large LCD display. The Newline NY Ultra Slim Scale will be a great addition to fit in any home dÃƒÂ©cor. Press the "Unit" press button on the back of scale to change from Kg to Lb or Stone. The protection slip case is great for travel protection of your mini scale for any trip. *** Scale must be placed on flat & hard floor for accurate weight; it will not work right on carpet or rug.

Notes for travelers If you are looking for an everyday scale this is fine (the pretty design {trendy wave} makes getting on the scale an easier task than stepping on a standard scale). If you're looking for a scale with the purpose of traveling, please consider the following:>Pros 1- The size is smaller than a regular scale.>Cons 1- It's not that much more lightweight than a standard scale- it's still pretty weighty. 2- This does not work for all types of travel. I took it on a cruise, and even though there was a firm hard surface in my stateroom, the rocking ship made it impossible to get a quality reading. 3- The material feels sturdy enough to support one's body weight, but breakable at the same time like glass. Even though it's in a travel slip case, I'm always afraid it's going to break in my bag in transit. 4Mini Bathroom Scale Excellent for Travel, Fits Carry-On Bag This mini bathroom scale is perfect for traveling, fits right in my carry-on bag. Haven't used it yet, but it is well made, love the protective storage bag. Anyone who needs to weigh themselves while away from home will love this scale. It's affordable compared to other models and has all the necessary benefits of my larger, home scale. I would recommend this to anyone. 5Perfect for traveling I have CHF and have to weigh myself every morning. Tough to do when you are traveling. That is until I found this. Very nice product. It is fairly heavy for a little thing, so my shoulder bag was killing me by the time I got to by destination! 4Gets the job done Perfect! Lightweight and great for travel. Not as accurate as I would like, typically runs about 1-2 lbs more than my regular bathroom scale, but at least I can tell if I'm retaining fluid or really eating too much when I travel. It was difficult at first to balance on the scale but with a little practice all is well. Currently used for my personal weight loss. Plan to put it in my big red suit case and take it on our next over seas trip to weigh many children in medical camps. Hoping it travels as well as it seems to be working here at home. It weighs as I expected, similar to others scales. Once you stop moving it reads your weight with an easy to see display. 5Love it and accurate Love this little thing.
