Customer Reviews

Design elements might be polarizing... I agree with other reviewers that the wide opening of the unit makes the utensils hang out very wide. There are little grooves at the bottom that you can choose to put the tips of the handles in that may be polarizing to some, but, in my opinion, it helps to keep them from hanging out too much, though I usually just keep mine so packed that I don't have to think much about any of it.I am glad I bought it, but its unique design elements are definitely worth considering in your purchase. 4Nice, but BIGVery nice looking - great quality. Spins around easily and quietly. The 3 compartments keep things from flopping around too much in there - along with some little "holes" at the bottom to keep things in place. It's sooooooo BIG though. It doesn't look that big from the picture, but you essentially have to stuff it completely full in order to have things stand upright. I guess I should have paid attention to the dimensions, but I figured this would be a "typical" size, and it's much larger. It would easily hold a dozen utensils, and I was looking for something that would hold a half dozen items next to my stove (since there is no drawer nearby). They don't stay upright with only 5 or 6 tools in it though, and then it kind of looks funny.4I like it.I needed to replace my other holder because it started to rust but it was about 5 years old and I only bought it for like $8 back then. Anywho, I feel like this item is probably $3 priced too high. I wish it were a little wider to fit more utensils. I cook at home a lot and this held them all but it s a little tight. I purely love the whole rotating base part. A good buy at first I ll have to see how long it survives before rating durability!4This is a really nice utensil holder This is a really nice utensil holder. It rotates easily and quietly. My utensils sit nicely in it and with the dividers in the holder they don't all bunch up. 5Love that it rotates!I like that this rotates, has three compartments, and that it's stainless to match the kitchen appliances. It seems to have some traction on the bottom to keep it in place as it spins - good work, OXO! I thought about getting a marble one to match our kitchen, but having compartments inside is really nice because you can keep all the tongs/spatulas together compared to spoons or over thermometers, etc. The only thing is that I feel like it's a little bit small; I'd prefer one that had slightly more space, from a width perspective. OXO utensils can have large rubber handle grips so it feels like it fills up quickly. It's also hard to store really close to other things (like our knives) because you have to leave space for it to rotate, and large utensils have a tendency to splay out. So expect an extra 2 in in circumference required on your counter.4Not Tall Enough!OXO is usually one of my favorite brands. That's why I didn't look much further once I saw this utensil holder. My main issue is it's too short which makes the utensils splay out and take up a lot more room than if they all stood vertically. I purchased this is for my stainless ware and they're not extra long but they certainly seem to be too tall for this holder. Also, there was a label stuck to the side and it left smudges that I can't seem to remove. There are some other dark spots that look like fingerprints but they won't come off either. The two positive comments I can say for this is that it rotates beautifully and it's heavy enough that it doesn't topple at all when spinning it.I still used it but only filled it with my lighter weight utensils like the ones I use with coated cookware. So if you have short and/or lightweight utensils you would probably be very happy with the OXO Utensil Holder.2Not only did this save space, but it's now far easier to quickly find what I'm looking for.Overview:This thing is so simple, yet incredibly useful for those looking to organize and save space. I live in an apartment with limited drawer space and purchased this nearly a year ago to store my whisks, dipping/stirring spoons, and even scissors. Not only did this save space, but it's now far easier to quickly find what I'm looking for. It's ability to rotate helps me find what I'm looking for without digging through drawers. Great product!Pros:- Ability to rotate- 3-way split allows me to compartmentalize my various cooking tools- Stainless steel stays looking nice even after a year of use next to our stove- Rubber feet eliminate accidental slidingCons:- A bit small (this is very relative, but I quickly maxed out what it can hold with my fairly average collection of cooking tools)5I love this utensil holder.I got this utensil holder to keep my most used kitchen utensil handy. Prior to this, I had to dig in a drawer to find utensils that I needed. This holder keeps them so handy, and I love that it rotates. It is so easy now to find the tools that I need when I am cooking. I wish I had thought to get it a long time ago. It would have made cooking so much easier.Update 5/14/2016:I have had this utensil holder for about 1 1/2 years, and at this point, I wouldn't want to do without it. As you can see from the picture, I keep it pretty full of my most used utensils. This holder keeps them so handy, and I don't have to dig through a drawer to find what I need. The outer stainless steel is so very easy to clean. Like most stainless steel, it shows water spots and other marks, but a quick wipe with a damp wash towel, and it looks wonderful again.5Not impressedI have loved every Oxo kitchen product I own until this one. It's not even the small size that bothers me (a few inches taller would go a long ways), but it arrived with these unsightly sticky tape marks that I now have to try and remove. How they didn't catch this on their own makes me think they did absolutely no consumer research or even internal research relating to this product. And now that I scroll through other reviews, I look forward to the onset of rusting that seems to be widespread with this supposedly stainless product.1Perfect I really like this. It did have a sticker on it but I was able to get the marks off pretty easily. It also fits in well with the rest of my kitchen which is all stainless steel. It fits a lot more utensils than what I was previously using and it spins.I only wish it was a little taller but I haven t had any problems with things falling out of it. 5Wishing we had got this soonerSo nice having a sturdy item for the kitchen counter that multiple items can go into, saves counter space from the 3 separate containers we had. definitely like the no-slip bottom and how easy it swivels 360 degrees.5Very convenient and nice looking utensil holderThis thing is great. When I first got it I didn't really think it looked like anything too special, but once I started to use it I was impressed. It is heavier than I imagined it would be, but to me that reflects the quality of it. It has little compartments inside that allow you to separate your utensils and it also makes it nice that things don't lean to one side. It also has little divets in the bottom to catch the utensils and prevent things from sliding around. When I first ordered it I wasn't even aware that it spun - I ordered it on a whim so I didn't even notice that it said in the title that it rotated - ha! This seems like a cool little added feature, but it is actually much more convenient than I could have imagined. I almost purchased stationary ones, but I am so glad I went with this one. It doesn't take up much counter space and it is pretty enough to sit on the counter without being an eyesore.5Spinning Holder For Whisks and Other Things that Will Jam a Drawer This thing turns easily and looks good with all the stainless steel appliances in my kitchen. I have an old ceramic jar I typically use to hold the spatulas and tongs near the stove, but I needed something on the countertop for all those things that refuse to fit in the drawer. Things like whisks, meat tenderizers, potato smashers, turkey basters. 5Wish it was tallerRotates perfectly and looks good, just wish it was a tad bit taller. I am not sure the grooves inside are really helping keep the ladles in place, especially if you don't fill it up completely and only have a few. Width or diameter is more than enough though and would fit a LOT!4
