    these are wonderful..these are wonderful...very sturdy. I bought it attach to a wheelchair tray which get rough bumps and nary a spill.5Not impressedThis was a waste of money. You can only clip them to a table about 1 inch or less thick. They have no give whatsoever and so broke very easily when we tried to spread it a bit more to fit the table. Very disappointing and I wasted my money.1Great pencil holder!I purchased this to clip on the side of my lap art desk to hold my drawing pencils. It's perfect, love it!5CLIP ON CUP HOLDER MISSES THE MARK BUT CAN BE ADAPTED FOR USEBrybelly's plastic clip on cup holder is a great idea that works okay for the most part, but it could also use some serious tweaking & upgrading to make it a truly excellent & fully functional product.The plastic clip-on part is sturdy yet surprisingly very flexible with how far it opens to slip it over a table edge easily without overstressing the clip itself. The acrylic plastic clip IS strong & holds up well, its not flimsy or too thin or in danger of breaking w normal use.Id guesstimate the clip opens about 3" max, but is less stressed if u use it for 2"-1.5" table edge widths or less.I slipped the Brybelly Cup Holder Clip onto my adjustable tilt-top laptop table that I use over-the-sofa. It fits nicely and is secure on the table top, doesnt slip or slide around. I can also use it to hold magazines, notebpapers & a few pieces of mail under it while its on my table, so it does double duty.Now for the Cans & Cannots:The actual clear cup itself does NOT hold typical coffee mugs like u buy at Dunkin Donuts. It can NOT hold my 16oz coffee mug from DD that has a 9" around base. It can NOT hold any mug measuring 9" in circumference or more. It can NOT hold Corningware or Corelle regular ceramic coffee mugs u use at home because they are not deep enuf below their handles to fit down far enuf into this cup holder. There is NO slit opening to accomodate any mug handle. Mores the pity. If it had one, it would make it more functional & not so limited.It CAN hold 8 3/4" diameter coffee "travel mugs" like stainless steel types that do not have a handle.Since it doesnt hold many mugs or cups, i was disappointed & ready to return it, but decided to see what else it might hold.It DOES hold my wireless mouse I use daily w my laptop. It was always falling onto the floor & getting knocked off my table. There was no place to store it when it was turned off. Now i store it in the cup holder along with an OTG flash drive & a coiled up short USB cord.This cup holder can NOT hold regular pens or pencils, theyre way too tall & fall out of the cup too easily. U can get around this problem by finding a plastic Solo cup thats tapered at the base & fits inside the cup holder well enuf to serve as a pencil holder adapter.The cup holder CAN hold a curled up bluetooth headset (I have an Ausdom S09 that i luv), USB wireless plug in receivers and transmitters, batteries and some smaller size cell phones that are 2 3/4" wide across or less.The cup holder measures 2 3/4" across the inside, side to side. And it hold 8 3/4" around cups. I dont know if it will actually hold a regular sized soda can bc i had none to try, but it looks like it could hold a soda can but NOT a 20oz bottle. It MAY hold a 16oz skinnier soda bottle.In the end, I decided to keep the Brybelly cup holder after adapting it to hold items other than mugs or cups. I would have preferred not to adapt it & to have it function as a true mug/cup holder that its supposed to function as. Now i must continue to hunt for another clip over edge cup holder thats better.Upgrade Notes:1. This cup holder needs a slit opening to accomodate mug & cup handles.2. Needs an expandable / adaptable width cup holder so it holds regular coffee mugs & vente cups from DD & Starbucks as well as fountain soda cups.3. The clip part could benefit from being downsized & streamlined in its shape & design, not so squared on its underside.4. Different colors of the clip part would be great.5. Light pads lining the inside surfaces of the clip itself would protect furniture better.6. The clear cup would be better if it were taller to hold tall mugs & styrofoam or plastic fountain drink cups.7. An snap-on/off interchangable cup feature would allow the user to interchange different height, width & colors of cups to increase function & style. For example, a snap on metal mesh tall pencil holder would be cool & hold my highlighters, stylus, pencils, pens and scissors.Overall i will keep this clip on cup holder bc i can adapt it to fit my needs.But Brybelly, a major cup holder company, is still missing the mark w this product - which leaves a huge opprtunity for someone else smart enuf to manufacture & serve the customer w a better executed & stylish product.3Great cup holder (with some modifications)I ordered this thinking it would work brilliantly as a pencil holder on my drawing table which it did...after some slight modifications. My tabletop is set at an angle and measures about 7/8" and the bracket on this is slightly wider so there was some slippage. Call me crazy but I went out in my garage and cut two pieces of double stick tape to which I "stuck" two rubber washers from a garden hose and that did the trick. The washers stuck to the tape and created the right amount of fill and don't slip on the wood surface. The cup itself holds a good assortment of pens and pencils. Works great!I'm guessing that if your tabletop is slightly thicker than mine this should work for you right out of the box.5Perfect for my poker table...Love this cup holder! It fit perfect on our poker table. Since we had no cup holders on our table it was getting ruined by people putting their drinks on it and as the evening progressed at least one person always spilled their drink. This is the perfect size for a can - beer or soda. Be sure to read measurements, they are true to size and not recommended to stretch as they are plastic. Well worth the price because the felt top on the poker table wont get ruined from beverages.5Perfect Cup Holder For Our Home GamesWhen we go to our friends to play poker, they don't have cup holders. I would be mortified if I spilled a drink on their carpet. These cup holders work great on their table and hold a can of soda or beer perfectly. The great thing is, I can take this with me to our friends or use it at home. NO MORE SPILLS!!!5LousyThis item comes unclipped from table very easily plus the hole for the drink is too small for even a can of soda.1
