Garbage... better off with a contractor trash bag.Don t bother... the bag leaked instantly. I filled this with appx 3 gallons of brine and a 24# turkey. It started leaking at one of the seams, just pissed me off! Had to find another brine bag. Stuck the turkey and leaky brine bag inside a contractor grade trash bag in the fridge till I could get a replacement. What a fiasco! 2 days till Christmas to have to deal with this POS. LEAKING!!! As if the holidays weren t stressful enough. Thank god my daughters found huge ziplock brand bags at Target that did the job that this piece of junk couldn t and it contained 3 bags! I have 2 left for the next 2 holidays for less than the cost of this single bag. Just garbage!
1Great strong productA wonderfully strong bag that held my 16 pound turkey and enough brine to cover it. This bag would have held an even larger bird.
5The price is awesome as wellYou can definitely stuff a large turkey, and still have lots of space. It is very thick too. The price is awesome as well.I was looking for a brining bag in the store for brining my turkey this thanksgiving and couldn't find any. I only have a small turkey. 13 lbs since there's only 3 of us who's gonna eat,I found this on Amazon and its cheaper than the other brands. It works very good and I'm not disappointed . will be buying again.
5Great brining bagBig, sturdy and very nice. Loved that it had a zipper
5Great bagAwesome bag nice and thick, big enough for my 23 pound turkey. Make sure you have dry hands use paper towel to dry top of bag when sealing closes great. Nice and strong so turning turkey in it no problem.
5The closure is not reliable.I had to think hard before I gave this three stars. When these bags work, they are the best. However, I've found that the "ziplock"-type closure on these are not reliable. If you use these to brine, just be sure to check that the bag is actually closed a few times during the actual brining.
3Pretty good bagThis bag worked pretty good. This was my first time ever brining a turkey. After reading lots of reviews on all kinds of brining bags, leaking bags was my number one concern. So I did put the brining bag in a kitchen garbage bag and then in the roasting pan before putting it in the fridge for the night. However, this brining bag didn't leak at all. My only issue with this bag was the size. I only had a 12 lb turkey and this bag was huge. Since the turkey is supposed to be fully submerged in the liquid, I had to use some tricks to help keep the liquid covering my turkey. That's partially why I used my roasting pan to hold it. I think this bag should come in different sizes to accommodate different size turkeys. Not everyone is going to have a 25 lb turkey.
4Don't buy this one.I'm a pragmatic review-reader. Most folks only post a review when they have an axe to grind. I read the other reviews for this product and thought "these guys must be doing it wrong. This bag can't be THAT bad."I was wrong. I was gentle and careful with the bag and the minute I filled it, the bag began leaking through three holes in the bottom and side. I ended up using a kitchen garbage bag for my turkey.Avoid this product. The negative reviews are, to my dismay, accurate. Spend a little more and get the Williams Sonoma bag. I wish I had.
1Decent productIt was a good bag, plenty big enough for a twenty five pound bird. It didn t seal properly or completely at the top, but since I use a Coleman electric cooler for brining, it stood upright nicely. Throw a ziplock bag of ice on top and let it sit for 24 hours. I will buy it next year.
4Prepare for a Leaky Mess!Complete waste of money! I decided to try this product instead of my trusty bucket. The bag didn't seal properly after carefully attempting to do so three times. The brine shot right out of the top. Thankfully I tried this outdoors in case this very thing happened, but I completely understand other reviews that describe having to clean and disinfect the entire kitchen after the bag fails. Your money is best spent on a big bucket!
