    good product for the moneyHave a new black roof and this replaced a smaller white fixture on the front porch. This makes a strong statement and pulls the design together on a lighter coloured house. Very bright and the side lenses refract the light brilliantly 5Replace with better quality hardwarePackaging was great lights were well protected from damage. Screws that mount top cover are super small and flimsy. Side mounting screws are made from aluminum and are soft and strip out very easily so do what I did and buy some stainless screws, you ll be a lot better off. If it wasn t for the cheap screws I d give this item 5 stars, thanks. 4Nice but allows bugs to collectWe have had it for several months and really loved it. However, there were gaps between the light and porch ceiling and tons of bugs got inside. I suppose we could have caulked but we didn't want to do something that permanent. I may put in somewhere inside as it is very nice looking. We have replaced it though. 4A bit awkward but a fine lignt, now that it's up.Overall, as advertised. I like its appearance and function now that it is up. My only quibble is the difficulty in attaching the removable part of the housing which has to be done in order to install bulbs. I found accessing the holes and screwing in the screws very awkward because of the housing's design and the fact that one is working overhead.. 4Five StarsGood size in scale. As described. 5well madeI replaced 7 cheap, all plastic (even glass), bug infested driveway lamps (former homeowner's choice) with these Gull Lighting Herrington lamps and I'm very pleased! They arrived packaged well, none had broken glass. The glass is pebbled, not totally clear which helps diffuse light somewhat and looks fancier. The glass is held in with sturdy clips. The all metal casing is flat black (in case you need to spray paint posts), and lamp itself once installed doesn't seem to have any way for bugs to get in. There's an enclosed bottom and top is secured with two screws, appearing relatively bomb proof. The wiring is simple, if there's conventional wiring already in place (grounding incl). You will need 3 wire connectors for each lamp (not provided). I had to expose more of the black and white wiring to wrap around my copper wiring. There are three screw holes for attachment to post (3" diameter post attachment). I had to use a metal drill bit to make 3 new holes in existing post since old holes didn't line up. For the price (around $35), these are very sturdy, well made, have some weight to them, attractive lamps. I didn't want them any bigger, so some saying they are small, I think mean more the width since they re taller than wider. These lamps are a perfect size for me and a vast improvement to what was displayed in my driveway before! And, I'm using all fluorescent bulbs no problem. 5GREAT light for the price! Solidly build and actual metal and glass!!!!Nicely built lights for the priceI'm actually going to deduct 1 star for the mounting bracket though - both the existing (and new boxes I had to install) put the light mounting screws directly over the screw holes into the box, and I ended up having to use threaded studs to mount the lights to the house.First photo shows the model 88131-12 (the smaller version) and the model 88132-12 (the larger version, or this product) 4Great fixture will last a long long time.This is a much larger fixture than I had visualized but that's a plus. It replaced a 60's install and did it with style. Two bulbs definitely provide more lighting effect and since I used led type bulbs I have a long lasting cost effective installation. Highly recommend this great fixture. 5Exactly what I neededNeeded to replace a faulty post lamp out front and decided on this model. It has worked perfectly. I did have it installed by an electrician but I know I could have done it myself, they were just there to do other things and added this in. I liked the lamp so much I bought a second one to replace one in an adjacent area, so they would match. Completely happy with lamp and the price is right. 5Nice fixture! Good size, and works great.Great light. Replaced our old brass fixture with this. Took 5 minutes to switch out. Looks just as described, and changes the whole look of our post. 5
