In recent years Spode has come out with new serving dishes and trays . The quality is just as good as the original China and dishwasher safe. I plan to purchase more for gifts next Christmas. 5Portmeiron/Spode - you should be ashamed!I was so excited to find this covered casserole at a reasonable enough price that i could afford to buy two. However, when they arrived, one had a chip in the lid and the second had a badly-repaired chip in the lid (see pix). I was going to exchange them but that option was not offered -- only a refund -- so I will keep them despite the damage.Interesting that the product registration card had a "Portmeiron" return address -- nothing is well made any more. 2
