Limited warranty means that the actual pump motor is not covered! most important part not covered! Extremely poor customer service. Product made by Wagner and is described to have 2 yr limited warranty. What you find out is that the actual pump motor is not even covered. After just 8 gallons of paint was sprayed the pump began to leak. Wagner states that this is overuse, the description of this sprayer was 300gallon per year use rating. 1I'm so glad he caved!!!My husband and I have done most of the building of our home after it was erected ( a metal shop and attached house). When last week the dry wall crew (we finally hired someone!) was working on the drywall, I begged the husband to agree to a sprayer instead of rolling the entire house. His brother finally convinced him to get one. We had some reservations about this one because a few did have some hassles, but the resounding chorus of people who repeated the help they got from customer service assured us that it was worth trying. MAN! The husband isn't all that great at thoroughly reading directions and following them, but with a quick glance, it started up, primed, worked like a charm! He got the entire open floor plan (10 ft ceiling)kitchen, dining and living room primed and the main bath before it was too dark to paint. We didn't even get it delivered till 2:30 and it was too dark in the house by 6:00. We have to go buy a lot more paint tomorrow because this is going a LOT faster than expected I will update if it doesn't last, but both of us couldn't be happier!Edit to add - day 2 to finish priming the rest of the house went a little rocky and my husband was pretty mad at the sprayer. BUT, it was because he got a little lax in the prep. When I ordered the sprayer, I ordered 25 paint strainers and a spare tip. When my husband and his brother both decided that the paint took too long to go through the very fine strainer, the strainer was not necessary and cheese cloth would work sufficiently. I obliged and drove the 10 miles home and got a sieve and cheese cloth and the paint just flowed through, catching some chunks. 30 minutes or so later, the tip is completely clogged, we change tips to the spare one I ordered, it clogged immediately. Husband is cussing the sprayer. We finally clear a tip with high pressure water and high pressure air and I insist we do NOT proceed until we strain it through the super fine paint strainers I purchased when ordering this sprayer. Not a single problem since. We finished priming the entire house and painted ALL the ceilings on day 2. Today is day three and we've rolled 2 rooms and assembled a bathroom. If not for this sprayer, we'd still be priming for days! We're not young people, we're already hurting like crazy and we haven't had to roll primer AND paint on 10 foot ceilings. But DO use a really good strainer for the paint and thin it or you might be cussing the machine for no good reason.5Perfect Tool for Staining Large Deck/FenceI own two other Titan sprayers but neither were really appropriate for spraying stain. This extremely affordable tool is the perfect solution. Easy to use and very easy to clean. Like other reviews, I agree it would be nice if it had a longer hose. Oh. And while there is a tip included, you'll want to order the 311 if you plan to spray stain.5Great painting machine Great painting machine, just adjust paint thickness and shoot. Easy to clean, the filter in paint booth should be changed or modified, it just does not let enough paint to be sucked up and thru the hose. Other than the filter problem, this paint machine is great. 5Works pretty well for painting fences, haven't used for anything else yet.I bought this to paint a cedar fence. I had painted some sections of the fence with a small spray gun, the kind that has a paint deposit under the gun itself, and that was slow, and didn't spread the paint so well.After watching some videos, I decided to give this a try. I was able to paint the whole fence within a few hours without any issue at all. It's easy to use, and sprays a good pattern.I haven't used it for any other paint or surface, but will likely use it soon to paint some walls and ceilings, then I will update the review.I am wondering if the pressure is enough to produce a nice pattern with thicker paints, but I will find out soon.It already paid itself in the time it saved me with the fence, so even if it died tomorrow, I woudn't take it any lower than 3 stars. It makes any large paint job you have a snap.5Full Featured Sprayer At a Great PriceVery impressed at how nice a unit this is. This is my first airless sprayer and it took a little getting used to but soon provided excellent results. Instructions were very good and geared for the first timer so setup and learning was relatively painless. It is amazing that a unit this nice is this cheap - I have since used some "high end" sprayers and other than some nice to have features, this Titan does an equally good job and is as easy to use. Don't let anyone kid you, cleaning paint sprayers is not easy, even though many say they have auto cleaning modes. There is little difference between most modern sprayers when it comes to cleaning and it is entirely up to you as to how clean you want them to get. You will never be so happy as when you take out the sprayer for the next job that you did a thorough cleaning job when you put the sprayer away the last time you used it.5Trouble with PrimingSprayer would not prime upon initial start up out of the box. The troubleshooting section in the manual directed me to clean the inlet valve. I disassembled the inlet valve and cleaned, still would not prime. If I held my hand against the suction port I could feel a slight vacuum. I disassembled the inlet valve again and decided to replace the O-ring with one of the same diameter only thicker. The sprayer immediately primed with the thicker O-ring. The one I used was a 14mm inside diameter x 2.5 mm thick. The attached picture shows the obvious difference between the two, the one on the left is the O-ring that came with the sprayer. After gaining prime the machine worked great. Unfortunately it cost me unnecessary downtime trying to get it to prime.3Problem is... I keep paintingI am a general contractor and dont always do the painting on my remodels. When the job is smaller, I'll do it to make a little more on the job. I spent several years as a full time painter when I was younger. I'm familiar with all the fancy sprayers but couldn't justify spending that kind of money. The problem with this thing is, it works so good I keep doing the painting.Pro tips... buy the filter/swivel, part number Wagner 0580611-B / 580611. This will give you a filter at the gun to keep if from clogging, not to mention the swivel which is a must. Make sure the tips you buy start with 353- then the tip size. Example 353-517. I learned the hard way that there are tips that look the same but will not fit. Same for the hose and gun. These parts are special for this sprayer. Make sure you do your homework and find out what size tip you need for your application. The tip that comes with it is the most popular for household paints. You can usually find this on the can of paint. If not, ask.I've sprayed several houses now with this set up, including cabinets, with great results. It's not meant for the painting contractor but, for someone who occasionally needs to hose a house a house, its great5Uneven Spray Force - Continuously Clogs With The Thinnest Latex Paint - No Control Over Spray DirectionAs the owner of a 150 year old house, we are always looking for ways to cut down on our maintenance time, and to make jobs around our property easier. We had been wanting a professional grade paint sprayer for quite some time, so testing the Control/Max 1700 Pro High Efficiency unit sounded good to me.The unit arrives in a large box, but it isn't too heavy. There are only three parts: a sprayer, hose, and spray gun with a tip. With clear instructions, the assembly was easy.I prepared the paint specifically for the sprayer, by thinning it and straining it in 5 gallon bucket (with water since i was using latex) and tested it with a funnel. The priming went well and suction worked as expected. I tested the spray gun (without a tip), and it also worked well. I screwed the tip on and tested it on a cardboard strip as suggested in the instructions.Then I proceeded to paint my carport. The sprayer worked fine for about one minute before the mist started to wander off to one side, and stopped. I twisted the spray tip 180 degrees but it didn't help. I figured the tip was clogged so I washed it in hot soapy water, but it didn't help. I filled a clean bucket with warm soapy water and ran the cleaning process for about 30 minutes.The tip was not clogged, but there was no great force behind the mist. The mist was weak and uneven. I thinned the paint even more and the result was the same. The sprayer worked for awhile, then clogged.The pressure just wasn't there to push the paint out as it could with the warm soapy water. I was greatly disappointed, since repeating the process was lengthy and messy, and the job remained undone.I really wanted to love this machine - and I still want to give it another try. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. The small amount of painting that was done with this sprayer looks terrible, and will have to be scraped and re-painted by using another method. The areas that were completed look bad - uneven steams of paint and long drippy areas over evenly sprayed parts. What a mess!I have included pictures of the spray with this review to show how uneven the pressure is, and how little control you have over where the paint goes.2JUNK.Just as another reviewer stated, I really wanted to love this sprayer. My husband and I have rental properties and this sprayer would save us a ton of time so I saved up some Prime points and bought the Titan Control Max 1700 Pro High Efficiency Sprayer. The name really enticed me. Great marketing - PRO and EFFICIENCY. Perfect. Not.The sprayer is easy to assemble and the instructions are great. The unit would not prime so I even CALLED customer service 3 times and someone was available to answer the phone each time and walked me through troubleshooting.I prepared the paint specifically for the sprayer, by thinning it and straining it in 5 gallon bucket (with water since i was using latex) and tested it with a funnel. My husband and I both took off work expecting to have this property painted today but instead we wasted 4 hours messing with this ridiculous piece of equipment.The tip was not clogged, but there was no great force behind the mist. The mist was weak and uneven. I thinned the paint even more and the result was the same. The sprayer worked for awhile, then clogged.I really need a sprayer so if there's a work around, I want to hear about it. The one wall that we were able to spray looks AMAZING. My husband corrected the areas where the streams of paint were and the places where the sprayer was actually working look GREAT.1Goofy sprayer but works great I bought this as one of our backup sprayers for the crew. Before we had the cheaper Graco model that lasted for a few years of heavy abuse and was great, but now I switched it up to this Titan model. I think if the manufacturer spent a few more pennies on the build it would be a much better machine: The power cord is only a few inches long, the suction filter is a giant circle thing that won't fit inside a 5 gallon bucket tinting inlet, the hose inlet is not standard size so you can't easily swap out hose lengths, the spray gun is goofy in itself too.That being said, I sprayed out a millpack and some walls and it worked great. 4Did exactly what we wanted it to!!!!!!!! Used to paint our huge fence in the back yard. Took 3 days of spraying and cutting, and over 100 gal of stain but we finished and couldn t be more pleased with the results. The Behr semi transparent stain went on smoothly and covered well being sprayed by this sprayer with the nozzle included in the package. I made sure I cleaned it per the instructions so I will be able to use it on my pergola later in the fall. 5Titan ControlMax 1900 PRO High Efficiency Airless Paint SprayerWOW, I AM IMPRESSED!!! I wanted to give it 3-4 stars based on the fact that shipment was late, very late (carrier lost package, by the way) I couldn't bring myself to do it one I received, reviewed, tested/used product which I purchased for 2 reasons: 1. the entire interior of my house (all 3000 sq ft) needed to be painted 2. I have a painting gig on the side. I've used a competitors product in the past but deep down inside I always wanted a Titan based on their reputation in the painting community. I will have to admit I was a bit concerned about the made in China thing as I am an American and I like American made products but I decided to roll the dice on this item as the price for a paint sprayer of this caliber was to good to resist and WOW, I AM IMPRESSED!!! I will admit things have slowed down a bit on the commercial side of things (next pro job scheduled next week) I was able to paint the interior of my own house cutting actual painting time by approx 20-25 percent and doing what I believe to be a better job then I was able to do in the past just based alone on the fact of overspray or lack there off. Not to mention the efficiency that goes along with it, don't get me wrong there was overspray, nothing compared to my previous airless paint sprayer by unnamed competitor(as I'm not one to drop names) as usual prep is not fun at least for me, I do like to be extra cautious although seeing is believing, and I am now a believer, cleanup is cleanup which I found to be a bit easier with this bad boy I highly recommend this product for any homeowner/ small business owner ( as that is what I am and can only speak on my behalf)5
