    Excellent Choice For DadMy siblings and mother have been doing things my parents' home to make life easier for my father who has very limited mobility. (And to make my mother's life easier as well). My father has very little strength in his legs. This toilet riser is genius! Until now, they've been using the plastic elevated riser that sits on the toilet seat itself. It is cumbersome, not very sturdy and difficult to keep clean/sanitary. When we came across this Toilevator, we were all amazed! I immediately ordered it and my brothers installed it. It was simple! No more worries about my father being unstable on the plastic toilet seat. We just purchased another one to put in their second bathroom as well. For height reference purposes, I am 5'1" and I can still sit on the toilet with my feet touching the ground. That's about as short as one could be to sit comfortably and have feet still on the floor. Thrilled with this ingenious idea! We'd all highly recommend it! (Especially Mom and Daddy!)5No Custom Toilet Needed!!!Bought this item for my mother who is wheelchair bound and needed more height than chair height ADA requirements. This item raised the base 3.5 inches as stated, is not an eyesore, and is very easily installed. I'm grateful that this product exists, and hope that more people are able to find it if needed! With the Toilevator we don't have to deal with the messy plastic seat riser. As far as installation, our toilet, sits forward on the riser, and the squared edges overhang somewhat in the front. I'm an old guy with a bad hip and bad knees (arthritis) and getting up off a regular height commode can be difficult even with a grab bar. It's so much easier now with the riser. I like that I could keep the regular toilet seat which I find much more "comfortable" than one of those cushion seat risers. I had a handyman install it in less than an hour with absolutely no problem. Would have done it myself in my younger days but lifting the toilet with tank attached was more than I wanted to try now. If you've ever replaced the wax ring or installed a new toilet, this would be a piece of cake for you. Everything needed came with except for caulk which is optional. I choose to have it caulked. I'm so pleased with it I ordered and just received a second one for my other bathroom.5Great solution!Bought this to elevate a low toilet, rather than replace the toilet in a home we are renting. It looks exactly like the photo. I don't know if the riser comes in different sizes, but this would not have worked with the larger toilet in our other bathroom. A relative installed it and said it was easy, but he did have to run out for different screws or something, which I think was related to the old toilet, not the new platform.5Its ALL plastic.I will be returning. My plumber was not comfortable installing a weak item to withhold all the weight being forced upon it in regular use. Sounded good, needs to be iron or porcelain.1Lifesaver for Arthitic kneesMy husband No longer has to struggle pushing himself up off a low toliet. We have the 17.5 American Standard toliet on top. Love it!5This thing is great.I'm 6' 6" and 330 lbs. I had knee replacement surgery last month and had great difficulty getting up from the toilet. This elevated to toilet to ~20 inches and proved very comfortable. Much easier to sit down and get up. I'm going to have my second knee replaced in a couple more months and expect a much easier time because of having this. Even so, I plan to keep this forever. It works too well.I had a plumber install it easily in 20 minutes. I have no idea how long it will last but don't see why it won't last decades. It came with everything needed to install.I also purchased a Vaunn Deluxe Bathroom Safety Toilet Rail - Adjustable Toilet Safety Frame - Medical Handrail Assist Grab bar Handle at the same time to go around the toilet. This combined with the toilet riser worked great together. The combination is perfect for me.5Best Available Solution to Handicap Friendly ToiletThis is the second purchase of the Tolievator (love that name). It is the only product which we could find which would achieve the desired height and still permit use of the "old style" toilet which actually flushes in one cycle. The product requires the use of two wax seals on either end of an extension pipe. The instructions request the installer to attach the second wax seal to the bottom of the toilet and then man handle the toilet into the precise position to make the installation. This is asinine and instead the second wax seal should be installed on the top of the extension pipe and then the toilet placed into position. (HINT: Before tightening the bolts, sit on the toilet and your weight will form a perfect seal on to the was seal. Then tightened the bolts.)4Not stableI installed this for my grandfather & the toilet riser caused the toilet to be unsteady and wobbly causing my 99 year old grandfather to almost fall. The pins connecting the toilet riser to the toilet (despite installing per the instructions) created an unsteady connection & gap causing the entire unit to be shake when sat upon. Unable to return this item per sellers policy despite 3 months of messaging back and forth so now we returned the item but denied a refund. Terrible item & service by seller.1
