Seems to be well built and easy to use. 5Leftover Persian cucumbers put to great useI have confidence in Japanese products and this one does not disappoint. I agonized between this more expensive, larger model and the smaller round one, and am very happy with this. It is just what I wanted. I use it mainly to preserve Persian cucumbers that I love in salad, but cannot finish the big batch of which they sell at Trader Joe's. This solves the problem completely. I just thin slice the cukes, add salt (a little goes a long way),close the lid, press down, and voila, water starts to rise within an hour. And now I have a good supply of such preserved goodies and no wasted cucumbers. All is well. Easy cleaning. Good looking appliance. No complaints so far.
