    Simple to use.I had the clip on a UV-5R handset break at one of the plastic arms. Used a dremel to break out the rivet, plastic around it. Lightly drill out the resulting hole to the right size and the universal replacement fit right in.5Great Metal replacement.Have a Cobra CB that had a decent mic but the button broke off the back that you slide into the holder. This repair kit is great. I don't know why the manufactures of CB's don't use a metal holder. I guess they figure they can sell you a new mic when something as simple as this breaks.5Easy installEasy to adapt to my mike. Only had to remove the back cover and center button and drill the hole. I then cut the excess screw to clear the inside mechanisms. Works great and makes the application cleaner looking. It truly was a universal fit.5Perfect Replacement!!I'd been looking everywhere for this little part!! Had a plastic one on my Yaesau in the car and it got broken off at the car wash. Product was delivered as promised.Packaging was good.I have not opened the product yet, as I intend to have my radio shop install them on the backs of my Baofeng UV 5R+ and my Cobra 38 ST-WX HH radios for dash-mount on mic hangars. Clearance inside the radios may be an issue, but that is no fault of the product. I would not hesitate to recommend this product. 5OKMore rugged than the stock plastic button on my radio's mic. My only complaint is that the screw isn't recessed enough into the button. The reason this is an issue is that most mic clips hold the mic in place through a lump on the clip that fits into the center hole of the button. The screw that comes with this button is a pan head (instead of, say, a flat head) that fills up most of the center hole, so the clip can't adequately grasp the button. If the screw was a flat head, and/or the center hole in the button was deeper, then this button would work a lot better. As it is, I put the stock plastic button back on my mic because it was designed with a deeper center hole (and thus the clip holds the mic in place better), and will use this button as a backup in case the plastic one breaks.3Not a universal fitI have a Uniden UM415 VHF radio and ordered this item. Unfortunately, it does not fit my radio microphone. So, I would not describe this a Universal Replacement Button. :(1Works with modificationsI used this to replace a mic hanger on an Anytone radio. They prefer to use hangers instead of buttons. Issue here is that the bolt is the wrong size. Very easy fix, quick trip to the hardware store to get a longer screw of the same size in the Anytone mic and then cut it down so it doesn't hit anything inside. Works like a charm. For the price, this can't be beat.5Worked fine for my application Used it to hang a wireless remote inside the truck. Worked fine for my application. Bolt was a little long, but I cut it off with a pair of lineman pliers. 5Worked perfectly The button on my existing mic, was to narrow to wrap a bungee cord around. This new button, worked perfectly. Some people write the screw it too long. I did not even need the screw, just reused existing screw. Yaesu ham radio microphone, MH-48. 5I recommend this!It works well with my Midland 75-822!5EXCELLENT AND A CHEAP FIXThis little button is made of aluminum (I think) and saves the cost of a new microphone for just a few dollars. Easy install (you gotta take the mike apart, but just a few screws) and a real improvement over the original plastic. I used Locktite to assure the nut would not work off, and it was a breeze. I did have to cut about 1/8" off the screw, but no biggie.5Works well.Works well. This would have been a five star review if the screw included would have been a bit shorter. Ive had radio mics of every make, design, and size. I have no idea why one would need a mounting screw this long! The instructions say "trim to fit". When im one the road, i usually don't have my vice, hacksaw, and grinder handy. I simply used a shorter screw i had lying around my toolbox. The button mounted in seconds and works well.4
