    Poor Quality Control & Designed Inconsistently for 16" x 32" vs. 8" x 32" PanelsI ordered 6 panels (4 each at 16" x 32" and 2 each at 8" x 32"). ISSUE 1: Amazon's box and plastic wrapping were undamaged, yet 3 of the large panels were damaged (one needs to be returned, the other two were borderline acceptable), leading me to believe manufacturing quality control is weak. ISSUE 2: The design for the 8" x 32" panels fails to include wrap around metal on the ends, which is inconsistent with how the larger 16" x 32" panels are designed. This is aesthetically dissatisfying since the units appear to be unfinished. when aligned as my project calls for. 2Makes Your Wasted and Forgotten Space UsableSometimes you have extra space above your doorway that just begs for a storage solution. You'd be surprised how much you can stash on a small shelf mounted above your laundry room or bedroom door.I had invested pretty heavily in about a dozen Wall Control panels and bracket / hook / shelf kits but found I had a couple of extra shelves, but no place to mount additional large panels.This panel fit took two large Wall Control shelves and with some hooks along the bottom row I can store some bundled up cords as well.Pros: Right size for out-of-the-way places like above doors Works with existing Wall Control accessories and pegboard baskets Reasonably priced Quality item just like all other Wall Control SolutionsCons: A bit hard to mount directly to the wall, usually requires to be mounted to a board mounted to the studs 5Works great to play cards on outside on breezy days.We RV a lot and like to play cards outside but the wind can be a problem. Magnetic cards can be pricey when you use 5 to 7 decks of cards at one time. I bought these to put on the picnic table to play the hand and foot card game. I also bought the Skilled Crafter Craft Magnets (1 inch. 25mm/4mm Ferrite Disc Magnet. 100 Pieces for Best Value. Strong Ceramic Grade 5 Strength. Ideal for Fridge, Whiteboard, Industrial, Scientific & Home) to hold the cards down. They work great even holding down 7 cards deep. 5Sloppy and BentI've bought a lot of wall control products. I normally buy the full-sized panels. I've never had an issue. These, however, were warped badly and just sloppy. Wall Control's own pegs are really hard to push in on these. It's like they're too thickly painted. But being warped is a real pain. I won't order any more like this. 3Helping slowly reclaim the counterI have a single set of three cupboards with three drawers -- and next to no counter space -- so this metal pegboard has performed a minor miracle in my kitchen. I ordered the narrow set that are meant to be used horizontally, and instead I mounted them vertically on the side of my cupboard. This freed up the precious chunk of countertop that was occupied by my haphazard collection of larger utensils. (I guess I should consider investing in more attractive versions since they're now doubling as decor.) I didn't want screws protruding inside my cupboard, so I substituted much smaller, shorter wood screws with wide washers, and the arrangement's been perfectly solid. Vertical mounting also doesn't impact the basic pegboard nature: regular hooks and brackets function fine. Definitely a life improvement here. 5Genius stuff!This metal peg board is genius! This 8" X 30" section was bought as filler more or less. I'm using the galvanized in my kitchen to hang my cookware and a few other items. It looks great with my stainless steel appliances. I built a spice rack in the wall between studs and screwed a piano/continuous hinge down one side of a 30" X 18" panel, installed magnetic catches, and now it makes a great door as well. See the pictures but bear in mind it's a work in progress. 5A Little Too ProprietaryI wanted a rigid (metal) peg board for my computer-building workbench. It allows me to easily hang magnetic items on it for better access (lights, parts bowls, etc). At first I liked the extra vertical slots on the 'Wall Control' peg board system as it allows me to buy some holders that aren't available for standard peg boards. After shopping around I have found that their proprietary holders aren't so unique after all, but cost a lot more since they don't fit on any other peg board (they mount using the vertical slots). I still like the quality of the metal peg board but would probably buy a standard metal peg board next time. 4Average of 3 Stars - Quality Control IssuesI give this item an average of 3 stars. I have purchased six of these so far and have two more on the way.It earns FIVE STARS for its functionality and overall quality. I am using these inside of two Rubbermaid sheds out in the yard. These panels work great with the Rubbermaid Anchor system. It is almost as if they were designed for each other. I am extremely happy with the ease of mounting and functionality. They work great for my purpose.HOWEVER, it earns ONE STAR for a breakdown in quality control at what I assume is the point of manufacture. I have purchased six (6) of these so far and three (3) arrived damaged with bent or dogeared corners. The Amazon packaging was not damaged and the plastic wrapper on the panel was not damaged, which tells me that the damage occurred before the panels were put inside the plastic wrapper at the point of manufacture. Damage on three of six panels is 50%. That is an unacceptably high average of damage and it tells me that someone is sleeping on the job in the quality control department.Fortunately, for my purposes I can put the damaged edges in a corner of the sheds and they will not be visible and do not impair functionality in any way. If you were hanging these in a garage or work area where you would have to look at them every day then you would want to send them back. I do intend to order more of these and use them in my garage, but any damaged panels will be going back immediately. They cost too much to have to have them arrive damaged fresh out of the box. That is unacceptable. 3Quality product, works as intendedI ordered a few of these panels to create a custom charging station for some wireless Polycom Soundstation units at a plant. I used a drill hanger to set the main Soundstation unit on, and then I was able to mount the base unit and peripherals as well. I drilled the holes near the Polycom mounts a bit larger to allow the cords to come through, and then hid the rest of the cabling behind the panel since there is some clearance behind the panel to allow for hangers to be inserted.Overall the finish was very nice nice on these pegboards, all the holes are drilled evenly and they sit flat against the wall with no warping. I did paint them black, and didn't sand them first so the paint did not take well. Make sure if you're going to paint this pegboard that you sand it lightly first to give it some texture.Quality, lightweight alternative to standard pegboard which can eventually start to break apart. I would purchase again to use for projects like mine or to use as a regular pegboard. 4Can Use Inside of Cabinets, tooTime is money. I didn't want to waste another minute organizing my baking shelf, waiting for Husband to build me a rack to hold inherited bakeware.I purchased this in white, then applied contact/self-adhesive paper I had on hand. Took all of five minutes. (Can you spot the seam?)Because I'm impatient, I'm forced to see that gap just below the board; I could have waited for Husband to get home for assistance, but I didn't. And...I secured it beginning with right side instead of the left. I patched the holes up so that it doesn't look like it is screwed into the wall.I love it! No more juggling precious bakeware, and more motivation to work on the shelf below.PS: I did measure before I ordered, but once it arrived, I momentarily wondered if it could be maneuvered into the cabinet. Should it have been too unwieldy, I would have used this in a closet or the garage. 5
