    I didn't realize rice tasted this good! We are from Hawaii where rice is a staple....this is the BEST rice cooker we have ever had....this model....we have had other Zojirushis. This model is the best!! 5Will difinetly buy another one ! I have had my rice cooker for 3 months now and don't regret a single penny I spent buying it. I cook a lot of different rice. So far I have cooked: white short grain/long grain, brown, basmati and a mixed. I have also cooked steel cut oatmeal and plan to cook congee. Every rice I cooked I rinse at least until the water becomes clear and all trace of starch is removed. I bought a 5 cup cooker and filled it up to the max, thinking it might come out mushy, but nope everything came out perfect, everytime ! The only minor thing I would have like to see is a setting where by I could switch the time from a 24 hour clock to a 12 hour. No but deal, it's just having to think in terms of converting 0400 hour to 4 AM. Have not used the timer yet because the longer cook time is not an issue with me. I will difinetly buy another one, if and when this one goes ka-poot.Happy cooking. 4Best!! I m so happy with this purchase. Rice comes out absolutely perfect. We ve cooked white and brown rice. If you follow the instructions, it s super easy and rice is perfect. Cooking is as easy as one press of a button. Warner stays on forever. 5Very disappointed. Why are these rice cookers always seem to die after the warranty period? 1We heard a lot of good things about Zojirushi so we decided to buy one We used to have a Sanyo one and its inner pot started peeling off. The model was made obsolete with no replacement pot for sale. We heard a lot of good things about Zojirushi so we decided to buy one. Among all the models offered at Amazon, NS-ZCC fits us most on the price point and specs. Unfortunately when the order came, we were dismayed at the workmanship. It looked like a defected one just off the assembly line. Quite some dents are visible on the outer shells and the seam between the upper shell and the lower is very uneven. We immediately returned it. Afraid of getting another similar one with the same model, we bought this less expensive one. It came more polished and we put it on immediate use. It has been more than a month. It doesn't cook rice as good as the Sanyo but the porridge option is a god send. The Sanyo spills a lot so in the end we stop using it for porridge. NS-WAC18 rarely spills. We set it up the earlier night and use the timer option. Then a hot and nice porridge waits us in the morning. Nothing beats that. We are using it for porridge near everyday. Unfortunately we can't give it five stars as the rice cooking is lacking. Still a good buy for us just for the porridge. 4I am very pleased with this purchase This is what i am using to supplement dinners while in college, you can put rice, vegetables, meats and seasonings right in the pot and leave it to cook, it cooks untill there is no more h20 in the food and it shuts itself off. I am very pleased with this purchase, thank you japanese people for creating good products ie honda and toyota. I think that i will have one of these around for the rest of my life. 5Delicious rice at a great price So far great rice at a great price. I saw a model very similar to this one at a local Asian market, but ends up being $40 more. The cooker is really easy to clean due to only 2 parts inside the cooker itself -- the rice cooker container and a metal plate that comes off. I haven't used the other functions yet -- only the white/mixed rice, but the keep warm function is great, and the rice stays fluffy for an entire day. I did notice some noise from the steam hole after a few uses, but I can't seem to find the reason why yet. Hopefully it won't become a problem in the future! 5Best Rice Cooker Best all round Rice Cooker, hands down. Tried others( looked for one that would steam too) and always come back to the reliability of this for perfect rice and steel cut oats. 5
