    Perfect solution! I am converting my home to LED and find that replacing the cans/bulbs is a better solution for me - since the light and the can are an integral piece you do not see the bulb and the dust settled around it when you look up - and the light is amazing. I only ran into a problem when I encountered an old can whose cut out in the sheetrock was larger than the ring trim available in all the replacement fixtures. This is the perfect solution - and at a ridiculous price. Just drop the ring over the new can before plugging it in and inserting it into the old can and it is held against the ceiling by the new fixture. Unfortunately - my previous can was put in my an exuberant installer and their is a point where it did not cover completely - but the light is so bright you cannot see it. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the rings came in a larger circumference as well - at least another inch. 5My house built in 1985 does not match anything that ... My house built in 1985 does not match anything that is used today. I spent a weekend replacing my canned lighting only to fins that the hole my builder cut was slightly larger than the fixtures. New fixtures that were going to fit were going to run me 3x what I had already spent. These have fixed the problem, once place around the lip of my new retro fit lighting, they extended the coverage are just enough to cover up the gaping hole. 5Great item. I have older recessed lighting. I had the ceiling painted and threw away the old trims (big mistake!). Anyway bought what I thought would fit, but alas they had a big gap around them. Couldn't find the trims to fit my old recessed lights (and didn't want to change the whole can etc out). but these are great, they work perfectly. They fill up the space that was left and really leave a nice finished look without gaps around the lights and trim. Highly recommend them. 5other that that it is fine. these in fact covered the ginormous hole hidden behind the original ring, but I had to double the rings because these DO NOT HAVE A SLOT FOR THE CONE TO SIT IN. If you look at the old ring it has a slot for the cone to countersink into so it doesnt slide and it is even... I had to put the narrow ring that came with the cone on top of this one so the cone recessed properly. I looks okay, but there is a double ring. just know that and be aware when ordering this one. other that that it is fine. 4Works as advertised. These come in very handy since the new fixtures have smaller dimensions than the older ones I'm replacing. The hole in the ceiling is based on the older model cans and can trim rings. The Goof Rings do work. My only negative and it's a small issue, is that I wish they had some adhesive on them to keep them in one place. The adhesive would help to center the ring because it doesn't attach to anything. It's held in place by the can light trim ring. Once installed you shouldn't have to touch it for years so my minor issue is really me being picky. I would buy them again. Great price. 5Great solution! I had some old 6" cans that I wanted to update with the retrofit LED with the built in trim ring. The issue, the installation rim of the can was larger than the trim rim. This was a great solution without compromising the look. It does not look like a cover up. 5Quick and inexpensive solution to hide gap between recessed light and can. Original cans of recessed ceiling lights were 7 inch in diameter however most new LED ceiling lights found are 5-6 inch in diameter. Not being able to find any suitable LED lights that would fit I opted to use these white goof rings instead. Turns out that this was the perfect solution, no need to replace the ceiling cans nor the lights. Bonded goof rings to the ceiling and used Velcro which I stuck onto the goof rings to hold LED lights in place. 5The products are fine enough looking The products are fine enough looking. They are a high gloss finish, which I think stands out a bit too much on a ceiling. I also had to modify the rings (15 of them) to actually fit my recessed lights by cutting out ~1/2in. Around the inside of each ring. 3Don't fit around the most popular recess cans It's a nice item but the size is tough, They were too small for the Halo 6" light can, and Commercial Electric (Home Depot brand) 6 " light can. Halo is the most popular brand sold so be aware they wont fit over those cans. That being said, if they fit it would have been a nice purchase, I had to use a rotozip to make them big enough but I was disappointed with the sizing. I measured before ordering and it seemed like they would fit but they didn't. 3They re good and do what you need them to Nice product. These feel pretty solid and went on without any issues.This give a little more depth to the light as well as helps I cover up any holes that might have been a bit to big in some areas.The only improvement that I could suggest is including an option of a rubber gasket similar to what s available with a standard trim. 5
