Great Looking FrameThis was the perfect frame for the special print I got from a local artist, because it married the barnwood aspect the print really required with the sleeker lines of some other items in our general decor. It actually looks like it was MADE for the print I got, as any other barnwood would have probably overwhelmed the pastel and watercolor effect. I couldn't get over how well it looked. 5Looks GreatI purchased 7 frames to use for gifts and had them all mailed to myself so I could insert the pictures and send back out. In hindsight I should have shipped each frame individually via amazon and sent the photos separately to save on cost (although lightweight, each frame cost $16 to send from Maine to Florida). The frame comes with a plastic insert, rather than glass; I don't recall if the description stated so. The plastic creates a glare on the photos, but it's not enough of a nuisance to exchange the items. The frames look great on the wall, they are exactly as pictured. They even come with a picture hanger and thin cable wire for hanging. I can't speak for the durability as I've only had them hanging on the wall for a week, but they look sturdy enough to last quite a while! If I need more large frames in the future, I will likely purchase again. 4Expensive TrashThis is a really expensive piece of trash. It's made of some kind of pressed paper or pulp and it's not even glass in the front. My fault for not reading more closely that a $30 photo frame has plexiglass (a generous description of the thin plastic) instead of actual glass. Save yourself some disappointment and cash and hit the dollar store for the same to better looks and quality. 1Great looking frame and service, but beware the matte sizeGreat looking frame, excellent service bit beware the matte size. I still recommend this seller, but the advertsied matte size is not 8 x 12, it is 7 1/2 by 11 1/3. I understand that the custom is to allow the photo to be taped to the back of the matte, but this dimension cuts out way too much out of the 8 x 12 photo when you mount it. I had to do surgery on the matte in order to use the grear frame...which by the way comes with the hooks attached! Two horizonral and two vertical, Also wire, hooks and nails. Great value. 3Great Quality--third frame I have purchasedThis is the third frame I have purchased from EcoHome. The quality is excellent and the packing very safe adn secure. I have reused the packing to ship my watercolor paintings in when buyers live far away.The hanging fixtures are complete and the frame can be easily hung vertically or horizontally. At first, I did not like the plexiglass in place of real glass on the larger frames, but it makes them lighter and therefore easier to ship and hang. 5Not bad, but misses the mark a bitLet me start by saying i am a professional photographer who prints, mats, and frames his own work. I also make my own frames, but wanted to try some manufactured frames just to save myself the extra work. This frame isn't bad, but has some issues:The Good:Arrives packaged very well and the box can be re-used to ship a finished piece to a customer.comes with real glass - not polycarbonate as many frames do.4 rubber bumpers on the backNice flat white mat - no texture to the mat at all - very smooth and simpleComes with a wall hook and nail so it's ready to hang on a wall.The So-So:This frame is not truly black but darkish gray in color. Not bad, but I wanted true black.Material appears to be a compressed wood product - not sure on this. Color is stained on, so scuffs and scratches will show easilyThe Bad:Sawtooth hangers pre-installed. Most galleries bad sawtooth hangers, so I'll need to remove and replace these.Bendy points hold the art, glass, and backer board in place. These are a pain in the butt to work with, and limit the thickness of the mounting. In fact, the art would have to be taped to the back of the mat to fit - never a good idea. I mounted my photograph on 1/8" foamcore and placed glass, mat, art and foamcore, then backer cover into the frame and the points would not fold down over this thickness. I removed all these bendy points and installed standard glazer's points. Fortunately I have a point-driver available, but other's would be out of luck.Overall, I'll use the four frames I purchased in my gallery, but these frames require either a compromise in quality of mounting the art, or access to tools to overcome their limitations. They're probably fine for casual use, but certainly not up to professional art standards. 3High quality frame, arrived ungluedArrived broken but my husband glued it back together because it was faster than returning it. It looks very nice. The product deserves 5 stars, but I can t believe someone packaged it this way and sent it to me. 35 STARSI was hesitant to buy this frame based off some of the other reviews. I m glad I purchased it though because I absolutely love this frame. It came packaged very securely and I had no problems with chipped or broken frames, like some of the other reviewers had. I ordered the 18x24 frame in Walnut Wood. I needed it for a painting, which fit perfectly inside. I did not need the matting so I just placed it behind the painting. The wood is a tanish gray. I included a picture of the frame next to a lamp and night stand to help give an idea of the wood coloring. The frame has a rustic but clean look in my opinion. Some of the other reviews stated confusion as to whether they would receive plexiglass or glass; I received plexiglass. It could just be what comes with the size I ordered. I would have preferred glass but I m not upset with the plexiglass. I m a pretty picky person and I had trouble finding something to pick about with this frame. With that being said, I do not like the hanging hardware they provided. It comes with wire to thread through the hooks they screwed on the back of the frame. I cannot stand wire hanging frames, so I bought a sawtooth frame hanger from Target and nailed it in and hung the frame that way. Easy fix and was not a big inconvenience. I will be purchasing additional frames, fingers crossed the experience is as good as this one. 5Measurements were off, plastic cover is very cheap and the mat is cut unevenly. This is garbage, do not buy,Cheaply made and all of the sizing was off by an inch or more. Now I'm stuck with a 19 x25 frame and an awkwardly cut, uneven mat that I will have to replace. Their packaging was sloppy so I don't know how I'd even return this. Waste of $30, hopefully Amazon will refund me. This is trash. 1Awesome frames!! High quality, great color.I am so impressed with these frames! They were the cheapest I could find for the style I wanted, that still looked to be a nice quality. I love them!! They came packaged so well, I ordered 6 frames total in two different sizes and had no damage whatsoever! They are light enough to hang with command strips (good for my wall, good for my marriage ;) ). These are awesome! 5
