In this case, because of the small size, it means you have to get really close to it, and then can only see one small part of your face. I also found the little suction cups hard to disengage because you can t get your fingernails behind it. I had to remove my glasses and then could see a few inches to pluck eyebrows or get an eyelash out of my eye. After the cataract surgery I lost that. Some people have complained about it being too small. It's 5 or 6 inches across, so it is a good size for me. Because of the magnification, you do need to be very close to it (as in almost touching it with your face) to be able to see without distortion. This is a good mirror for very up close make up application or tweezing. It is not a mirror that you will be able to hold at arms length and be able to see yourself. It works great for my needs.
