It is claimed it will help preserve the mattress material in addition to killing bacteria and fungus. It will be years before I know if that is true. In the mean time, I will say I liked that it was pre-measured and easy to apply. Also, getting an extra plug and cap was worth something. 4Greaat stuff!This is very hard to find in stores, so I searched Amazon and sure enough it was there. It was at my door in a matter of 3 days.
