Works Pretty Good But BigOnce, I filled this cup with water, covered it with the top and put it in the freezer until the water was completely frozen. Took it out of the freezer, left the top on. It took 12 hours in a 74 degree room to completely melt. Nice insulation...at least for cold drinks. Hot coffee stays hot/warm for about an hour to 90 minutes in the same 74 degree room. It's both dishwasher and microwave safe which was important to me. But it's too big. Too bulky. Would prefer around 16 ounces. And it's not very easy to carry with you in the car. Doesn't fit the smaller cup holder holes. But good enough for iced down Sangria after work. 4Very bulky but usefullThis cups are very bulky they might not be what your looking for. If your looking for large cups which can be used in the microwave then this cups are the cups for you. They are thicker then your average cup so when you zip coffee or whatever you might zip on them it takes a little get use to. Over all the cups are very good. As I said they are big and bulky. I say most guys wouldn't have a problem with it. I have not experience anything bad with them at all, microwaving water or coffee in then works fine I did not notice a difference in taste or melting of any kind. 4MugI bought this mug for my hubby as he keeps taking my fav mug for his coffee. Though this is bigger and light weight his ONLY negative when using with the Kurag machine or the single cup coffee machine made by Bunn the base of the cup is wide and slims towards the top of the cup which make the cup further from the machine at the top which can miss in the cup some if you don't have it pushed back all the way. Other than that a+ 4It's used every day!My husband had a green travel cup that was shaped similar to this one. He broke the handle and ..well he loved this cup so much he just kept using it. I set out to find him a look-a-like. I found this cup and it met all my requirements - it's green ;) - has a large capacity, wide on the bottom. Most of the cups I came across were the kind you could fit into a cup holder.It's sturdy, easy to clean and I know where I can get another one should this one break. 5Don't pass this one by !I bought one of these mugs, well the first generation of them about 10 years ago. It lasted till I left it on a park bench at an outdoor meeting for the sailing club I belonged to. When I went back it was gone :( I searched for years to get another one, but even the manufactuer wasn't making them anymore, so I was stuck. Then a few weeks ago, I ran across them in an add on the internet, and bought 3. ha ha,, Not taking any chances this time. :)They are great. Will keep your coffee hot until it is gone. They hold more coffee then a normal large cup so they are great for the long commute to work. and like I said, they are great while sailing, they stay on the deck or where ever you place them down.Can't go wrong with this so buy one !!!!!!Tony 4A good mugI use this mug for hot tea, which it keeps hot/very warm for about an hour-ish. The lid is nice to help keep things warm, but will do little to keep the contents of the mug inside if sloshed around/knocked over. The lid fits tight but the sliding top is not water tight.The wide base makes it more difficult than normal to spill and the rubber square on the bottom helps a little in keeping it in place. Were the rubber part a bit larger to cover the bottom, it would be more effective in keeping it still, but what it has is pretty adequate.The lid opens into 2 parts for easy cleaning.Very good for home use, I use it often. 4Don't delete inventory on this item, pleaseuse this durable mug every day I work. even left on the car once and rolled off, hit the street and the lid stayed on. little bit of surface scuffsbut it still keeps my coffee hot til I finish. 5Not perfectThe lid has two pieces to it. Once you take the smaller piece off, it comes off easily and unintentionally. I've thought about buying another one just to have a new, intact lid. It does hold a good amount and it is not easily turned over; however, when it does turn over, it is not leak proof. While I am disappointed in the lid, it is still one of the best portable coffee cups I've had. I like the handle because it is big and has an easy grip. The cup is insulated well, but its large bottom makes it difficult to carry in the car because it does not fit in the cup holder. 4This is the perfect cupFor years my brother had been trying to replace his coffee cup but with no luck. When I found this on Amazon I knew it was the cup he was looking for. I bought several and he couldn't be happier. The fact that this cup is microwave safe was really important to me. Thank you so much. 5Tepid Too QuicklyDon't know what the rave is with this large plastic foam insulated mug. I found it no improvement for keeping coffee warm over what coffee vendors serve coffee in - Styrofoam or paper with plastic lid. I was hoping this would replace my 16 oz stainless steel which keeps coffee pretty warm for a couple of hours. Disassembling and re-assembling plastic cover to clean after each use will soon cause cover to loosen and possibly drip. This 20 oz.wide body goes in the "nice try" bin and back to my reliable stainless steel mug for morning coffee. If I had tested mug first, I would not have gone on to purchase it. 2
