Sceptical....but now a believer.Frankly, I thought these things were a joke. We didn t have fancy cart covers when we were kids. We just took the gems and we were stronger for it. And so when I kept seeing these, I would scroll past.But then, we went to PF Chang s. And I m not saying pF Chang s is dirty. But let s just say, the last time they wiped down their high chair was questionable. But because it s wood, and my poor teething daughter thinks that wood is the BEST teething relief, she starts chewing on the high chair (it s like having a puppy! There are teeth marks on the wood corners of our couch!!).I whipped out my phone and purchased this thing. They have sometimes those wipes for the grocery stores, but pretty much my daughter doesn t like metal and won t lick anything from the cart itself. But what I don t trust is how many times a restaurant wipes down their high chairs. This works perfectly for that. And you can still add the ties so if you don t want to menu pulled off the table, the toys can hang and be pulled whenever you child wants it. It s also nice that it comes in a little bag. You just carry it and go. It doesn t really have much room for other stuff but it can easily go in a diaper bag. Or if you are just grabbing your wallet you can put that in. Or some reusable bags if you are going grocery shopping.Washing the things is easy. We just threw it in the wash because eventually, something is going to spill st a restaurant. But it s quick and easy.Seriously. If your on the fense, get it. If nothing but peace of mind for high chairs. 5Cute CoverSuper cute shopping cart cover! Worth the purchase! 5It Serves Its Purpose... and it s Very FunctionalI like that it serves its purpose for me, which was to cover the baby seats in restaurants and carts because no one ever cleans them; no telling what is on them. PERSONALLY, However, I wish that the bottom area had more fabric on the right and left sides as when you push it down (I.e. put your baby down) in the high chairs (even with using the side strings to secure it) it doesn t quite completely cover all sides of the highchair without a small area or two peaking through near the top back corners of the high chair. These are very small amounts visible though, so it s really not that serious. Most parents won t be bothered by that at all, neither am I but, if I changed/altered that one thing, it d be just a tad bit more material for the sides.Other wise it is a Godsend!! I Like It!!! 5Great and convenient!I used this for the first and only time with my 9 month old grandson. The carts at the local sprouts are not your average shopping cart. So I placed the cover inside the lower part, since the top part doesn't have opening for legs or a child to sit. I still 'strapped' him in and secured the edges, but didn't get to see if the leg openings would work, since he didn't use them. I think the padding is adequate, the strap worked great, the ties on the sides did well and I love the little pouch being used for extras (I even put some smaller groceries in them.) and the neat way it folds into it to carry it. The pattern is cute and for the price, it was awesome. I recommend it. Ill be going to Costco soon and try it out there with the typical cart. Worth the money I'd say. I tested it out today at the grocery store which has standard shopping carts and the cover did not cover the sides of the cart. I don't see how it will fit Target carts much less Costco. It did stretch over the shopping cart handle snuggly but my son was able to pull it off as soon as I tried sitting him down even with sides tied down which are meant to keep cover from moving.I loved the pattern. It's a cute design although in pictures the color looks white w/polk-a-dots, but it's beige instead. Still nice. The material is thick and seems resistant. I liked that the strap ties to the cart itself for added safety. It was easy to put on while holding my son. It's also great that it folds into its own tote and you can use that pocket to store things while using it in the cart. Sadly it still does not work for us.I will continue on my quest in finding something that will work for us.UPDATE: I emailed the seller and they encouraged me to try the owl pattern cover. They offered me a discount as well. That was very nice. I used it at the supermarket and it fit great. Covered sides and handle even though velcro did not grasp on sides. Unfortunately not great at Target. The Target I go to has newer and older shopping carts. Cover does not fit well on the newer all plastic cart. Velcro sides do not grasp around the cart and sides were exposed. Cover is too small. I also had to keep tugging at it so my son would not pull it off the handle. Real bummer b/c it worked great at the market. I haven't used on a Costco cart yet but I don't see how it would fit if it doesn't work on a Target cart. I like the velcro on the sides and around the center of seat to help it stay in place on the carts that it fits well on. Pattern is cute. My son was interested in it for a while. It came w/a teether toy and you can still add more toys of your own. It also has a see thru pocket for cellphone. I don't allow my son to play w/electronics yet but I can see how that is useful. I inserted his toy phone instead. He loved that.CONS: Difficult to fold back into a small pouch (like when you first open it). Seems to be much thicker onced washed and used and folding. The safety strap does not tie around the shopping cart seat for added safety, and side velcro doesn't always attach depending on shopping cart style such as the ones at Safeway or Target. Lastly, it's machine washable but not able to put in dryer. Not completely satisfied but it is better than others I've tried.UPDATE 3/2019: I still own the owl pattern cover and continue to use it til this day. I have washed and dried in machines several times and it s still in one piece. It is not. The fabric is very thin, there is no stuffing of any kind to make it soft. The fabric is also very slick so when my baby sits on the plastic plate in the grocery cart, the fabric slides around and easily pulls away from the sides of the cart and has to be fixed. As stated above, it provides absolutely no cushion at all, it's like draping a thin piece of fabric over the grocery cart. So if your little one isn't fully ready to fill out a seat or a highchair, this will provide no support to keep them upright. It doesn't make the cart more comfortable.Pros: It does its job of keeping exploring mouths off disgusting grocery carts and restaurant highchairs.It's super easy to clean, I just toss it in the washing machine. The attached carrying bag is a great idea. When I received the cover it was suggested to watch a video to learn how to fold it up into the bag. It made me nervous that it would be a difficult process if it requires a video, but it's incredibly simple and I can usually get it folded up with one hand.It's not perfect, but it will work for now. Customer service is amazing and answers even the dumb questions (which is how I found out that toys can get tied on). Washes easily, and seems really durable so far. You can't get a better one for the price. I haven't tried it on a high chair yet, but I'm sure it's just as great there too. 5
