    The trouble that I ran into was that I couldn't find anything even near what I already had and I really liked the chairs I was looking for replacements for my dinning room chairs as I just didn't trust them not to go over backward if someone leaned back too far. Then one day when I was searching I came across the very part that I had been told was the problem.I talked to my son and he confirmed that that what we needed. I ordered three and my son put them on the chairs and they worked perfectly and were not that hard to replace. I was thrilled to not have to give up my chairs. I have now replaced all eight of them. 5Great service and product! The product was exactly as ordered. Quick service and the two swivels fit perfectly where the old ones had swivel bushings that finally failed after many years of service. Also ordered casters for all four chairs. Same results. Final product is two new chairs! The only reason for 4 stars is I went back to buy 2 more swivels a week later only to find the price had gone gone up $5 per swivel. 12% 4Simple And Quick To Replace Exact replacement and incredibly easy to replace with online videos. Remove the four screws attaching it to the chair and install the new one the same way. To figure out which swivel assembly fits your application, measure the hole spacing. There are only a few different styles and the measurements are not similar, so it is easy to avoid ordering the wrong one. I've only dealt with the seller HTCStores, but their customer service is great. They allowed me to return a set of inserts from their eBay store since their Amazon listings include the item with the metal swivels as a kit. I initially thought only the inserts were bad, but the failed swivel caused the breakage of the insert. Ultimately it was my mistake on the initial purchase of inserts, but they generously accepted the return even before I purchased the 'kits' from their Amazon store. I purchased enough swivels for all the chairs I have and would recommend this to everyone. If one goes, the others are going to eventually do the same. 5No more wobbly kitchen chairs My original chairs are 20 years old and still look great, just really wobbly. Bought this to try on one chair came back and bought 3 more. They fixed my 4 chairs for 200. You can't buy a good kitchen chair on wheels for under 200 for 1. Thank you. Easy to replace, works great. 5Online pictures can be deceptive (unintentionally) Either I ordered wrongly or the wrong product was shipped. I did not need a Kitchen Swivel, which I received. I needed an office chair swivel. The Kitchen Swivel was too small. The online picture looked just like an office chair swivel but as soon as I opened it, it was obviously too small. I returned the Kitchen Swivel and am waiting for my card credit. I ordered the Office Chair Swivel. I received it. If fit just fine. 1Don't buy new, make the ones you have like new. Easy to install (I am a 68 year old disabled gent and even I did four chairs in less than two hours). Great quality. These swivels renewed the Chromcraft chairs we bought in 1985! The fabric is in great condition and we couldn't find any replacement so I decided to look into fixing them. I found this product on the web and watched a short YouTube video and decided to do it myself. And I did. Don't spend upwards of $250 per chair for new if you still like the old ones you own. Anyone could do this refit with a little patience, care and a few very rusimentary tools. 5Chairs are like new again These inserts are great if you own Chromcraft swivel chairs. We purchased 8 Chromcraft chairs a few years ago and slowly the plastic insert parts break. This was very disappointing as these chairs are not cheap. After contacting the company, they did not offer any suggestions or warranty to repair. We were upset that we would need to buy 8 new chairs in order that they all match. I would never recommend Chromcraft or purchase that brand again due to this problem. After setting aside 2 of the chairs, I happened to find this replacement insert. We have repaired 5 of our chairs and are so happy that this insert is available for less than $45. YouTube has a video with easy instructions for replacement. We have also replaced the black plastic insert also. Our chairs are like new again! 4New life for good old chairs! Finally, I found the answer to my worn-out twenty-year-old Chromecraft swivel chairs and am thrilled beyond words! The quality is very good and cured all the wobble and squeaking sounds. Installation was a snap. Watching an online video was very helpful. It would be great if the manufacturer included installation instructions. 5Just what I needed. Fix a good chair myself and save money in the process. Very easy to install (for me). Just make sure you get the correct part, with correct measurements. This part works great on the correct chair. Be sure to order the part made for your chair. Saving a bunch of money, not replacing the whole chair.No instructions came with the part so we went to "YouTube" for help. You can find a video to watch how to install a chair part like this.Now my chair works like new for under $50.I did replace the plastic insert with the new one that came with my new swivel unit. One thing I did not like is that the plastic insert came already attached to the post. It would have better sent loose. The end results great. I am very happy (if it lasts, and it should). 5Parts are fine..but will break if heavy ppl lean back on the stool a bit too far. I have bought a few of these, we bought/ordered stools by Chromcraft not knowing they were going out of business. We have found that people over say 200# who tend to lean back in the chair will break this swivel insert. These parts work..but, they are also way to easily stressed so they break. Stools should have been manufactured with much sturdier parts. So, these parts are good...but they will also break if heavy ppl lean back on them. We have to tell ppl not to lean back in the chairs if they are "big". Need to be more sturdy. 4
