    Saved my old chairs!Had to figure out how to get them in the chair base without breaking them (they aren't cheap!). We boiled them for about 10 minutes to soften them and they went in without breaking! I love my old dining room chairs so this was a wonderful thing to find. 5Worked greatMade the chairs like new 5Our swivel kitchen chair was wobbly and unstable. Someone ...Our swivel kitchen chair was wobbly and unstable. Someone was going to get injured if we did not fix the problem. I took the chair to a furniture repair shop and was told they were unable to remedy the problem completely and we would need a new base. Looking online, the price of the chair base was over $200. Then my husband and I watched a video on how to repair a swivel chair. He took the broken part out of the base of the chair, handed it to me, I found the part online and ordered it. When it arrived my husband was able to replace the broken part within a few minutes and the chair is now stable and ready to be sat on without a dangerous wobble, and was way less expensive than replacing the base. 5GoodKnow what you are buying. 5A Little Lub In The Id Helps Assemble And Stops Galding On The PostTook Longer To Get The Tools Then It took To Put Together. I give it 2 stars because it did in fact install and it did hold the chair upright, however it installed with a hammer and little plastic ears that are supposed to stabilize the chair, broke before they went in. We had 4 broken ones out of the 6 we have. These are used all the time as they are comfortable, so was very excited to find replacement parts that were so much less expensive than having to buy new chairs, (btw, the chairs are 16 years old.) 5Problem solverSeems to be a hard to find item. I purchased 2, one for a spare. They seem to hold up well. My dinning set is about 13 years old and the only reason i replaced the one was due to a creaking noise which I was able to isolate to the plastic insert. 5
