Awesome - I bought 3.I loved these things. We had 35 family photos taken on a recent vacation, so I wanted something that could hold all of them (with a few extra spots). The wood was nice and thick. Sturdy plastic over the actual photos themselves, but I really didn't see that as a negative (some people wanted glass). Plus, I like the fact that each "frame" is separate, and not one big cheese piece of cardboard or something else that you'd have to arrange, and hope they all fit in perfectly. Each frame has a separate opening, so you could switch the pictures in and out very simply. Was also nicely packaged. 5nice frame with one caveatWe like this frame, the look of it, and the fact that it holds 12 photos. We don't mind the plastic 'glass' at all. We use it to hold unique photos of birds we take on our birding trips, and it does a fine job of that with its whimsical shape.However, you should be aware that you'll probably have to trim 1/16 inch or so off one side and end of each picture in order to get them to fit in the frame. The sample photos supplied with the frame have the corners cut off to fit the rounded corners of the CNC cutouts. In spite of that the sample pictures are slightly more than 1/16 inch less in size than 4x6 inches and they are a still a snug fit. There are thin slots in each of the rounded corners of the cutouts that are meant to accept the corners of your photo. That's fine for holding them in position even though you have to do a bit of fussing to get the photo corners in the slots. If you fail to trim the photo before attempting to slip the corners into the slots you will find the photo cannot lay flat, it's simply too big for the size of the opening.I don't know if this is a programming mistake in the software used to control the router that makes the cutouts or if it's simply a design error. There's no reason the manufacturer should allow this manufacturing error to continue. It's simple for them to fix.It's annoying to have to cut down two sides of every picture in order for them to fit in the frames. We're going to deal with it because we like the overall shape of the frame. I just want to make you aware of the problem before you make the purchase. Perhaps ours is from a bad manufacturing run, but even so there would have been at least a few dozen that would have the same problem.UPDATE 2/14/2013: We received two more of these frames and rate them the same as the first one. Yes, we still have to cut down the pictures a bit. We'll deal with it.Here's a hanging tip: the sawtooth hanger supplied on the frame won't work with the typical picture hanger without the hangar itself showing above the frame. Ugh, ugly. This is easily remedied. With a #1 Phillips screwdriver unscrew the two sawtooth hangar screws. Move the hanger directly down to the frame below the top vertical picture, center it over the narrow frame and use a small nail and hammer to create starter holes for the screws in the new location. Strike the nail just hard enough to leave about a 1/8" deep impression. Now screw the sawtooth hanger in this new location. It's a bit tricky to get the hanger on the frame over the picture hanger mounted on the wall, but once you've done it the wall hanger no longer shows. Nice. 4Economic option for school photos. Examine carefully on arrival.I love the look of this frame but wish I had noticed it was plexiglass photo cover instead of glass. The glare is awful. Also, I purchased four of these for my children's (homeschool) photos. They will look great and be fun to fill over the years. The four packages shipped in identical packaging from three differet sellers, so it is obviously packaged by the manufacturer. Two of the four frames were broken at the top in shipping. The break isn't bad enough to bother with a return, but I was dissapointed. The packaging LOOKED adedquate, but it must not be.I do really like that the frames are very lightweight, and therefore easily hung from a single nail. 3This is a nice frame at a not-too-bad priceThis is a nice frame at a not-too-bad price, but it has one flaw that makes it all but worthless. The width and height of the openings are indeed 4"x6", but the corners are rounded, meaning that you'll either have to trim your 4x6 photos or crush the corners in order to fit them into this frame. This should really be highlighted in the product description. 1High price low qualitySave your money. Definitely not worth $36. Upon opening mine most all the backboards fell out as the metal clips don t fit snuggly. The boards are cut too small and there is dust from production all over it. One piece of plastic cracked while removing the plastic overlay. Frame works but I used gaffing tape to hold clips in place on back of each photo. You get about $9.99 worth with this one. 1Love the design, but they are shipping factory seconds.We love the design of this frame, which is why we ordered it. Taking out of the box, my girlfriend said, it's nice! So we like the look of it, but there are problems. First, this is 2016. Why are we still shipping things in styrofoam? There must be dozens of ecofriendly alternatives. There's simply no excuse. Second, the item we received does not appear to be brand new. It's blemished out of the box. We're grateful that it arrived in one piece, but the corners are worn and there's a scratch on the face. It was probably returned by someone else. Better to shop in a brick and mortar store for this type of item. 3Quality of productI chose this frame because it's a collage one like my others. However, this frame is cheaply made and not worth the price. It will do what I need it to do, but I wouldn't recommend it to others if your looking for a good sturdy frame, because this isn't the frame for you!! I was expecting actual glass pieces, but nope their plexy instead. I'm kind of glad that their plexy though being the backs are cut to short so they don't stay on properly and fall off. 3The frame has some issues but looked good in the endThis frame does have some issues. As other reviewers remarked, the corners of the photos have to be trimmed to be rounded in order for them to fit. I bought an inexpensive plastic cutter that did the job just fine. So that added an additional step to putting this together. The Plexiglas pieces that were in each frame section were poorly cut for the most part, you can see in one of my photos how the edges were rough, split, and opaque. The front of the frame had some blemishes on the wood. However, when I got the photos into the frame, it looked good overall. 4Very happy with purchaseLove it. I was not expecting plastic, but this is a good quality plastic...I have all wooden plain frames in my house, you wouldn't know the diff between these and the real wooden frames. I bought a second one. Love it. Also...just so you know, it is a thin plastic in the frames, not glass. Makes it hang nicely on the wall...not too heavy. Again, not what I was expecting, due to not reading reviews, but they are definitely worth the money. 5pretty shoddy and pictures have to be trimmedI had looked all over for a frame exactly like this and couldn't find one in a store. when I got this one, I felt like I've been robbed by the price. I didn't notice in the description that the lenses are plastic, not glass, and easy to mark up or scratch. the frame is a plastic wood. The worst thing is, they do not fit a 4 x 6 picture easily; you have to trim or bend the edges of your picture to make them fit, which was really disappointing. I used it because it's what I wanted, just think it's pretty expensive for how cheaply made it is 2
