Customer Reviews

Worked for GE Double oven This product worked perfectly for my GE double oven. Had to use the existing housing in the GE oven, but it was simple to remove this product from its housing and insert it into the oven's existing one. Some YouTube videos suggest switching them from the front, but I recommend pulling the oven out and changing it from the back as you will have much more wire to work with. The only issue i had was with the ceramic wire nuts. They did not grab the wires well. I think they might be undersized, so I used traditional wire nuts. As long as the traditional wire nuts are placed outside of my oven the temperature was low and risk of potential damage bu heat seemed zero. 4Easy to wire and works great I originally ordered a part from sears but the electoral fittings did not match. I sent it back and ordered this one since I had to rewire it anyway. It works great now that it is installed. 5My oven is so poweful I used it to melt steel Last night we installed this little gem on our oven and it got so hot we decided to forge a sword. Check it out on discovery channels hot oven diy swards by stay at home mommies! 4Works well! My husband and I are not super handy people, but when our oven stopped working and I researched to see why, it seemed likely that it was a bad igniter and after checking out some YouTube videos, I felt like it was something we could attempt to replace ourselves. This came quickly and was packaged nice and protected in foam.We were able to install this without incident while following along on a YouTube video and It fixed our problem. It's been in our oven for over a month now and we haven't had any issues. 5Works great and easy to install on my Capital Oven Just replaced the lower ignitor on my Capital mcr natural gas oven. Works wonderfully and was fairly easy to install. While it doesn't look exactly like the bake ignitor 501A that is on the Capitol as OEM, this one fit both the opening and the screw holes once I tin snipped one side screw panel off.. It is a pleasure to to have my oven heat up in less than 10 minutes again! FYI: you don't need to remove the back of the oven to replace this - just the bottom of the oven (2 screws) and the heat spreader plate (4 screws) to easily access the ignitor on the Capital. 5Works perfectly; far less expensive than the "official" part. Easy to install; heated immediately; works perfectly. And about 80% cheaper than the price quoted for an "official" Frigidaire part. This ignitor is a generic, "universal fit," OVEN device, designed to be attached (with two small bolts, included) to the oven gas burner via the two holes shown in the listing. It does not include a coupling plug. Instead, it is to be spliced onto the oven's existing ignitor wires, using two ceramic twist-on wire nuts (included). It fit my Frigidaire oven, which contained parts made by Electrolux. (See the attached photos showing my oven specs.) 5My oven is back from the dead. Little wall oven was on the fritz. Took forever to light. Would be 50 degrees under set temperature. And then wouldn't keep that temperature anymore. On top of that the gas was coming in but there was no fire. No good.Online research said it might be the igniter, and it was. I figured I'd try the $20 for before dropping $1,200 for a new oven. The oven now works as it should.A slightly mechanically inclined person with common sense and a few common tools should be able to replace it no problem. It took me about twenty minutes. (I fix home items all the time though.)Watch YouTube videos for direction and guidance. That's usually my buffer for, "Can I do this myself or should I hire someone." 5Universal Igniter Kit, at 1/3 the price. It fit right in, but the package ships with everything you would need to MacGyver it in - an alternate bracket, multiple connectors, and spare wiring. (Except for the mullet)This is the first part that goes in a lot of gas ovens, and many manufacturers make replacing the part easy.My particular model, an early-2000s GE Elite range/oven, had the connectors hardwired and buried deep within it's innards, so I was forced to splice the wires with the provided wire nuts.I am so glad I spent a third of the price that the manufacturer was asking. 5My wife thought I was awsome very easy repair. Has mounting bracket that fits my oven, had splicing nuts to making wiring in easy. look online there are videos on how to do this. I was very pleased this worked. I was skeptical at first as my old igniter did glow, but apparently did not get hot enough to ignite the gas. After replacing wtih this one was brighter and the gas ignited right away. The over heats up fine now. 5good stuff i like this product, it fit just perfect, and work excellent on my oven.this is my first time replacing devices like this, and i'm happy i bought this igniter, saved myself some money.i would recommended it to any one who want to replace their oven igniter. 5
