    Heavy dutyI use mine to store cleaning rags and brushes, but it could support much heavier items. When stacked, they set back a little from the one above it, so there's is room to reach in each one. For storage, they nest to save space. 5Economy bins are great.I bought several different sizes of these economy stacking storage bins for my garage. They are great! Durable, stack close together or on the top pegs for more storage and easier access. Now I'm using them in my house to organize incoming paperwork. I have a home office and the paperwork just got put on my desk now I have a bin for each credit card/debit card, a bin for daily receipts, one for mail and a bin for other. They fit inside one of my cabinets so they are not just sitting there and I can get to what I need to almost immediately. No more stacks of paper for the cats to distribute across the floor. :) Seriously, these bins are great. 5Great for organizing the office.I got these to organize the various cords, plugs, manuals, installation CDs, and such from computers, phones, tablets and other electronics that I had just shoved in old shoe boxes.When your stuff isn't organized you end up saving everything for fear of needing it one day.These helped me organize the clutter and separate what was good from what can be thrown away.Works like a charm and they look nice on the shelves.Worth every penny. 5STACKABLE...the best part of this!I had some of these before...my business is expanding and these is a great way to keep small product stored in these bins so I can pull from as the orders come in. Durable and STACKABLE...perhaps the best feature is that key factor. I have these stacked about 4-5 feet tall with heavy product in them (steel) and they hold up well! I will continue to order more as my business demands more storage space that needs organization. 5Light Weight But SturdyThese bins are light weight yet sturdy because of the ribbed and scalloped side construction. There are posts, two on each side, that form the pegs for stacking. The ribs (which define the scallops) and posts decrease the interior space, which is a consideration if storing boxes and other dimensional items. If used for lose items (screws, bolts, etc) it's not a problem. The interior dimensions are: bottom of bin 6"Lx4"W (the sides abruptly slope in about 4" from the top); the lip in front is about 2 1/4" from the bottom; distance from the back to the front lip is 7 1/4 (measured from a rib); width between posts in 4 1/2"; width between ribs is 5 3/4"; distance between posts on each side is 2 5/8" in the center, 2" from the front post to the top of the lip, and 1 3/4" from the back post to the back rib. The reason I've given the specific interior dimensions is because I ordered the bins to hold dimensional ammunition boxes. The space is adequate for the boxes. However, because the interior dimensions are smaller than I estimated, I made more efficient use of the bins by taking the ammo out of the boxes and storing cartridges lose in the bins. This works for me because I have a large number of cartridges for a given caliber. The ribs and posts that add strength to the bins are a plus in my application. One reviewer commented that back of the top bin protrudes about 1/4" beyond the lower bin when stacked. This can be offset by alternating how the bins are stacked. There are four holes in which the pegs can be fit on each side of the bottom of the bin that provide an option for stacking. To offset the 1/4" protrusion in back the next bin can be stacked so that the offset is 1/4" in front. I bought this for a specific application to fit in a Stack On gun storage cabinet (Stack-On GCB-8RTA Security Plus 8-Gun Ready to Assemble Storage Cabinet; see my 15 Feb. 2014 review) and my primary consideration was the external dimensions of the bin. The bins fulfill that application perfectly. I use one side of the cabinet to store three carbines and on the other side I've stacked the storage bins. The bins are open to the door for easy access. One last note if you are stacking a lot of these into one high column you might consider putting them in a space that prevents the column from tipping to either side. 5Functionally...work well for my purposeI actually have these organizers on a book shelf in my office that is immediately behind my desk. I am a tech guy and have an unwieldy assortment of stuff...these are great for organizing all the cables and gizmos. Disappointing was having to work out a credit with Amazon because I was short shipped. Don't know whether it was Amazon or the manufacturer, but it was something that Amazon should have noticed in any case. Also, 3 of the bins were chipped already and parts were loose. I just kept them because I need organization asap. 3
