Wanted it to work.I wanted this sheet to work out so badly because there aren't a lot of trendy options for portable/mini crib mattresses. I gave it two stars because I love the zig zag design, and it's in grey which is one of the colors we use to decorate the nursery with.Unfortunately, despite my mini crib mattress fitting the size requirements of the sheet it did not fit after being washed. I washed it per the instructions, and I was highly disappointed and sad that it was way too small.Perhaps American Baby needs to look at the size requirements again, or use a fabric that won't shrink so much. Actually, I'm not even sure it shrunk because I didn't try to put it on the mattress before I washed it.The fabric, as some other reviewers have mentioned is a little scratchy, but not too bad. My baby is almost a year, and by this time she's encountered a large range of fabrics that I'm not worried about irritating her skin.Let me know if anyone gets this to fit their Davinci Mini Crib mattress. Maybe I just got a dud.2Love this sheetThis sheet fits my 3 inch deep mini crib mattress perfectly. I don't think it would fit a 5 inch mattress. True that it's not very soft but, babies sleep on their backs so this isn't an issue for me. I've washed this sheet many times and it has held up great. No shrinkage. I plan on ordering more. I love the color/pattern choices. Mini crib sheets are so hard to find. I ended up going with a 3 inch mattress after reading so many reviews on how difficult it was to find sheets for the 5 inch. I intended to purchase more colors in the event there's an accident and I need to change the sheets.5this is super low-quality fabricEchoing what so many people have said: this is super low-quality fabric. It's very thin, practically transparent white cotton - definitely NOT a percale weave as advertised - and the designs are screenprinted in a thick, stiff, scratchy paint. The seams are also pretty unsightly and careless (they ruin the direction and repetition of the pattern), and are of poor quality themselves: big, loopy stitches that fray and loosen after the first wash. These (I bought 3 different patterns) also came STINKING of a glue finisher; they smelled like chemicals and vinegar. They're cute, but for $5 extra you can get organic jersey sheets from Burt's Bees or microfiber sheets from Target, and both come in fun patterns and modern colors. I'll keep these to use in our playyard, but I won't be permitting them on her crib for everyday use.1Great value, met our needs perfectlyThis sheet is exactly what we needed at a great price. It fits the Dream on Me Mini-Crib mattress perfectly. We called around to Babies R Us, Target, and Walmart trying to find a sheet to fit this mattress and couldn't find one. We then found this on Amazon and ordered it, in spite of some negative reviews. It turned out to fit perfectly and is very soft and exactly what we needed. We got two and they both lasted a year with heavy use (I wash the crib sheets once or twice a week). One of the two got a small hole in it after about a year, so we replaced it with another one. Color is as shown 5Shrinks A LOT, Unsightly SeamsAll my ABC sheets and pads get smaller every time I wash them--and I am not washing in hot. I don't know why ABC decided to put seams along the tops and bottoms of their sheets; eventually, after a few washings they end up as unsightly lines of interruption to this swell pattern. I have a naturepedic mini crib mattress that seems a tad bit larger than an average mini crib mattress only because its piping along the edges. The ABC woven, percale sheets, as well as the organic mattress pads I purchased are all shrinking and smashing the corners of my very expensive mattress. ABC, why not preshrink the fabric before sewing these sheets and pads, or at least make them a little larger to account for their inevitable shrinking? And why not just eliminate those unsightly seems? They only make the fit worse.1nice sheet; I recommend getting bed sheet suspenders to keep sheet tight on mattressThis sheet works well enough for the Dream on Me Pack and Play Mattress. It might be a tiny bit small.... There's elastic to help keep it in place, but I was having trouble with the sides coming up and bit. The result was that the sheet would bunch, which isn't safe for a baby to sleep on. It made me so nervous. I ended up buying some of those clips that you put under the mattress on the corners that pull the fitted sheet tight (bed sheet suspenders). That solved the problem and I haven't had a bunching problem since. It's hard to find a sheet that stays tight, though, so I'm only docking one star.Otherwise, I love the fabric pattern and the sheet is soft because it's made of cotton. There've been many recommendations for American Baby Company but their sheets are designed ideally for 3 inch mattresses giving 2 inches of a secure fit at the bottom. The "barely-there" stretch to 5 inches for the cotton sheets (flannel fabrics might be different) is just too unsafe for baby--too much of a risk that the sheets will ride up--not to mention the mere inconvenience of a less than secure fit. I'll keep these sheets, but I'm glad I purchased just a couple. I had to purchase sheet hooks just to make sure the edges stayed snug and secure. Wouldn't want my baby to be in jeopardy by the sheets riding up. I've resorted to making my own sheets since I have sewing skills. After some random web searching, I must suggest Carousel Designs at babybedding.com as having the perfect-sized sheets--made specifically for either a 3" or 5" standard mini-crib mattress. No need to get 'custom' sheets. You get the exact depth you want and the designs are plentiful. A little pricey, yes, but no getting around that anywhere for the special Kalani/MDB Crescent 5-inch mattress.2
