Customer Reviews

Used...yuck!I was thrilled to order this and make cake pops with my daughter for her sisters upcoming birthday. However, when I received the item, it was dirty and appeared used. Cake batter was left on the handle and in the plates. I contemplated returning it but fear an exchange will yield me another used item and not arrive on time. 1Second one I've bought, no regrets! This is a wonderful product. It takes a couple tries to get it right, but it works easily and deliciously. For best result, make thicker cake batter. Very easy to clean, wipes right off. My 1 year old threw my first one and it broke, so this one is replacing it. It comes with a booklet with a couple recipes in it, but icing is much easier if you buy a pre-made, and then add baking chips to it. 5Love the idea, poor execution on the cover lid, never could make a round shaped cakeI have purchased a combination of two different Babycake machines in the past three years due to return issues. With the last one, I finally gave up and no longer use the cake maker. My main issue is that the lid portion was constantly loose slightly, resulting in cakes not perfectly round in size. I loved the idea, but it is poorly executed. Hopefully you receive one that doesn't give you issues, but these gave me a headache. 1Great Dessert Maker for Unique, Kid-Pleasing Cake Pops (and Nuggets)This is an amazing dessert maker, which I learned about from a Facebook friend. You know those pieces of cake that are left over after the party? If you use the same batter to turn them into cake pops (or cake nuggets without the stick), you'll never have leftovers again. We often use muffin mixes and even brownie mixes to make cake pops, which delights my grandkids and makes everyone happy. 5I love this product and it is the only cake pop ...This is my second one. I love this product and it is the only cake pop machine i like and only one that works for me. ive used a couple others and they did no justice compared to what this one does. If used properly you will get a round cake ball. I use a squeeze tube to fill each hole so there is no mess. Fill fast and consistent or they start toppling over and start cooking before you can close. 5Easier and more fun than I thought!I really hesitated - mainly because it just looked too easy. I imagined that the "pops" would be flat on one side and overdone on the other. Or just the opposite: too big for the cups and running between, making a mess.I could not have been more wrong. My very first time, I filled the cups as instructed. I was just sure that the bottom would be overdone on the ones I filled first. The great news is that every one was perfectly round and done on all sides and in the middle! The couple that got a little too full, flattened out a nice little rim that was easy to knock off so they were perfectly round as well.I have tried several cake mixes and even bread/muffin mixes that work just great. I really am surprised at what a good job the inexpensive little machine does.Hint: you will need more than the one stand provided, so keep the packing styrofoam wedge from your next box and make holes with an ice pick. You'll have all the cake pop holders you need to dip and ice. 5Great kitchen toyI have used the pop maker several times and it is great, just read any tips you find, like use the included recipes as regular cake mix is too runny (plus you'd be baking cake pops forever!) Follow the time instructions as well. They really do bake that quickly. I wiped out the holes with a paper towel and a little bit of oil after each use. Also, a dispenser or tiny scoop for filling the holes is almost a necessity. I tried it with a spoon and with a pouring measuring cup, but it was messy and took too long. The first filled were trying to rise, so I had to stop and bake that batch half full. Still worked great. In short, I am very pleased and if you like weird and wonderful kitchen toys, this is one you should try. 5BUYERS BEWARE!!!I purchased this appliance so I could make some cake pops for an event I have coming up so when it got here, I was ready to break it out and get to making. I pull the tray out, it's covered in some chocolate syrup looking spots. I pull out the appliance and there's some kind of batter dried on it and chips of the nonstick coating missing from the cooking surface. The filling injector is the best part. I could see something in the threads so I unscrew the little cap and could immediately smell something foul. Upon closer inspection I could tell it is mold. That's a filling I really don't want my sons eating. I'm sure that's there's a seller out there that's isn't selling used, dirty, moldy Cake Pop Makers but as it stands now, I CANNOT recommend this to ANYONE! 1Very disappointed.Very disappointed in this item. I had purchased a different brand before and someone borrowed it and did not return it. Wish I could remember who, but when I tried to order another Amazon was out. I decided to give this one a try. Even using spray did not help. Every batch had at least 1/3 of them that stuck. Then if you are not careful the spray you put on will burn. I am returning this one. Luckily Amazon has the one I like back in stock. 2So dang fun I made 9 dozen the first time I used ...So dang fun I made 9 dozen the first time I used the machine! Look I had another machine before and so I decided to fill squeeze bottles with the batter first to get the stuff in quickly and efficiently. It is not a pro machine it's just a home machine designed to give a little joy geez.If you leave it closed until the green light goes out you won't know whether or not it heat evenly because it'll just be done.I also added 1/2 of a third cup measure extra of water to my cake mix and it had no problem exciting the squeeze bottles. The fork is a blessing and all I did to not need but one tray is to put the hot tray of pops in the fridge immediately and they were cool enough to not stick to their brothers before the next batch was ready.I also put them on a tray poured melted fudge icing on them and sprinkled mini chocolate chips and nuts and they were the hit of the party.ENJOY!! 5
