    Wanted to do that whole Japanese culture tea thing...When in Rome do as the Romans do, right?Of course this isnt technically Rome... it s more of a Japanese thing that doesn t involve men in kimonos wielding swords or cartoon girls of questionable ages of consent.And I can try it without being scowled at and judged, or worse being incarcerated... so I thought, why not?It works really well to froth up and cool a type of tea that I wasn t really aware would have given both Juan Valdez and his coffee bean laden mule massive coronaries.Good stuff though, and pretty authentic equipment I ve been told by my one Japanese friend who comes over occasionally.His exact words were, Tell me again, please... why exactly did you buy this? Ah, good... very traditional. Let me show you how this... what are you doing? No, put that down and pay attention please. No... this tea is very strong... Do not gulp it... Wait, you haven t eaten any food yet? Oh, my... 4Made in ChinaThis whisk was soaked in chemicals and dye. Make sure you boil it several times before using. You will see the yellow dye come out. 1Follow-up & CareI used my bamboworx matcha tea set for the first time this morning with my . I ve been mixing my matcha with a wire whisk until now, and I REALLY like using the bamboo version much better. Also, the scoop is awesome! I ve discovered I d been using too much tea in my mix up until now. I used the scoop to stir when needed throughout my enjoyment. Also awesome customer service! 5Must buy!I got this beautiful set to start my conversion to matcha latte. The set helps the process so much quicker than using whatever I had around the house. It also helps foam up the matcha and you are interested in foamy milk to add to the latte, the whisk can help achieve that. 5UPDATED review! + a tip :)I initially reviewed this JUST after I began using it and gave it a basically passable review. And, since I believe in giving credit where credit is due (and even though I did initially say that I'd recommend the product in my review) I also said that the whisk seemed fragile and could break at any moment. After using this whisk for over a month, I can confidently say that all the bristles are still completely in tact and it works really well. I don't have any to compare it to, but for my needs (daily lattes) it has done the job :)Also! Something helpful that I learned by trial that I can pass on: It makes ALL the difference (in the lumpiness factor) when I pre-squish the powder in my cup/dish to get the lumps out. Then, whether I put it in my nutribullet to make an iced or frozen matcha latte OR add the hot water to it for (obviously) a hot latte, it's lump-free! :D Perhaps this is Matcha101 but I was excited when I discovered this little trick and wanted to share in case it could help someone else. :) 5Very high qualityThis is a great deal. Very good quality wisk and spoons. You will certainly use the scraper over a bowl to prepare it in after looking at many other sets. I traveled to .Japan and fell in love with Matcha. After drinking a cup at a famous zen temple I had to have it at home. If I could only find high quality Matcha to wisk with this! So hard to find ceremonial grade without it being expired after being exported to us. Still love and use my set! 5MoldyI used this once and this was the result. Not sure what I did wrong, I cleaned it exactly like it told me to on the box but this still happened. 2Say Yes to matcha tea At First I didn t think I need these tools but they do make it so much easier. It s very easy to blend matcha powder using the whisk and super easy to clean! Light weight! 5I know it looks pricey or frivolous...but you need it if you drink matcha.I have lately been getting into a real fitness/nutrition phase, so of course I started making a lot of matcha teas and lattes. I thought a bamboo whisk was kind of a dumb, frivolous thing and originally just used a spoon. Finally I gave in and bought this out of curiosity, and have to say I should have bought it sooner. A spoon works, but takes like a minute or two and you still can't always get the clumps out....this, on the other hand, takes like 10 seconds. It's also really easy to clean and I love how it comes with a matcha scoop. If you make matcha then you need this! 5
