    Wouldn t recommendPoorly made looked cheap the glass didn t sit flat in the table 2I love this modern styled black tableI love this modern styled black table! It s perfect for my room which has both surrealist decor and a cosmic theme. It s a solid, well-made and nicely finished piece that arrived very securely packaged. Little assembly is required- the sturdy smoke colored tempered glass shelves slip in easily- and the table frame itself is all one piece so there s no hardware and no tools are needed. It s funky and fun, modern and functional as you can use it s lower shelves for storage or display. It arrived quickly. Would like to rave on even more about it but essentially, I Highly recommend this table!!! (And I paid full price for it and have no connection to the company.) 5Elegant Design; Poor CraftsmanshipI purchased this table based on the visual appeal. It beckons me to gaze upon it whenever I enter the room, and I am always happy with what I see. Based solely on the excellent appearance, ~$170 seemed like a reasonable price.The table came fully assembled with the exception of the glass plates that are placed on each of the three levels. Overall, it felt solid solidly built, and at first glance, appeared to be defect free. When placing the glass on the middle shelf, however, I immediately noticed that it was uneven. Putting pressure on the the top left or bottom right corner caused the glass to wobble. The wobble, in my opinion, was extreme - especially considering how much I paid for the table. I had a pair of digital calipers handy, so I decided to quantify how uneven the surface was. I determined that one of the corners was at least 1.7mm higher than the rest.I contemplated returning the table and ordering another one until I read a review for a slightly different version of the table that mentioned the exact same problem. It seemed reasonable to assume there was a decent chance that I would receive a similarly defective table if I ordered a new one.http://www.amazon.com/Baxton-Studio-Clara-Modern-3-Tiered/dp/B0046ECJR8/Instead of ordering a new table, I ordered felt pads to to create an even surface for the glass. Get the vacuum cleaner out when you open the box. Middle shelf is a little lose, per other reviews. I'm always a little nervous purchasing items that include glass pieces, but this item was so well packed I had no reason to be concerned. My guests and friends have all complimented it's fun and unique look and a few have even asked where I purchased it wanting one for themselves.
