Customer Reviews

Cloth diapering necessity Second time around one using these. They worked so well with my first baby, I was definitely using them with my second. The claws are super sharp and hold so well. I love them so much. I bought the three pack because somehow the kids care employees at my gym kept losing one of the claws and my husband and I needed to have a few backups because we misplace them sometimes when we use all in ones one in a while. We don't plan on having any more kids, but if we did, we would use these again. 5We used diaper pins for the 1 day while we waited for the Snappi to get delivered and no one was comfortable with using them I don't think I could get my husband, all the grandparents, and even curious visitors to cloth diaper our baby if it weren't for Snappi! I started CD'ing at 5 days, after the meconium passed and our little one got a diaper rash from disposables. We used diaper pins for the 1 day while we waited for the Snappi to get delivered and no one was comfortable with using them, plus we had to readjust the pins so many times. There's barely a learning curve with Snappi and readjusting is a half second ordeal. The Snappi technology is very similar to the brackets on those Ace bandages you use for a sprained ankle. So easy and so worth it, 5Snappi Busted I started using these little less than a week ago. I have been alternating which ones we used. We don't overstretch them.Today I heard my son crying and went to find him, diaper open, snappi completely busted (see picture). I *had* been having good results with them, but now I'm nervous about using them anymore. I tried to find the company online but all i could find were retailers selling them. Use with caution, or try another brand. 2These are great! BUY THEM!!! I was using safety pins on my prefolds before, but these are so much better! I didn't buy snappis for a while because as everyone knows, cloth diapering is a bit expensive at first. It seemed hard to spend $10 on a fastener when I could use that money to buy a diaper cover or more prefolds. A pack of 4 cloth diapering safety pins only cost $1 at walmart and that is what I used in the beginning. They worked just fine and I got good at using them, but honestly; I was concerned that one day I'd stick my baby with them. I would always put my own hand at the point to protect my baby and that way if someone was going to get pricked - it would be me (I have pricked myself BTW - Babies are wiggly!). The problem with pins are; you really have to pull the prefold quite tight at the waist to get a good fit with your diaper. It is much more efficient to use something the pulls 3 ways (it is hard to explain - but trust me- these are way better!). Don't hesitate to buy them - They are worth it! 5Game changer! "Wow, cloth diapers have changed a lot since we were using them!"-- this is what all the grandparents have said. It's true, and Snappis are one of the great advancements. Forget diaper pins. You can fasten a prefold diaper (that is, one of those plain, flat square diapers) with this nifty device and with some practice you can do it one-handed!There are three plastic claws, protected by a rubbery handle, that grab onto each of the diapers corners to secure the diaper. It's easy to adjust the fastener once it's on. It's also easy to pull and release the Snappi off-- this is great when you're trying to get an especially dirty diaper off!I have caught my finger on the claws once or twice, and it hurts, but it takes some special talent to actually hurt yourself on this (and there's no reason it should hurt your baby). Much better than pins!We use these with OsoCozy prefolds and Thirsties or ProRap diaper covers.Highly recommended. 5Peace of mind compared to safety pins. We're new to cloth diapering and these are great. I really like that I don't have to worry about safety pins coming undone--never had that happen though. I do feel like it's easier to secure the diaper with safety pins because it's one side at a time. However, the more I use this, the easier it gets. I was originally bummed that there were not more colors but you don't really see them much. I've NEVER had the diaper come undone so that's a big plus! They don't grab on thicker diapers that are really burp cloths but marketed at cloth diapers--like the colorful ones. However, I just used those to see if she liked cloth before we jumped in:-) 5Great, but hard on fabric I got a cheaper off brand thinking I would save money and get the same effect. I was way wrong. They were horrible! I decided to bite the bullet and just get the original Snappi brand and they are much better. Easy to use, hook on immediately, hold really well. The problem I have is that the rubber (is it rubber? idk) part, the colorful part that holds the tension, seems kind of flimsy so even though they do hold, I am afraid they will break apart. The teeth are also super sharp and have torn my diapers already, rendering them unusable, and I haven't even had my baby yet. I just have a doll that I am practicing on. Good for the money and definitely easy to use, but hopefully they don't break and I will definitely have to replace some diapers I haven't even really gotten to use.Using Target brand FST $4 for 4, if that helps 3Great! Love these. I've been using them for about four years now. Snappis only seem to last me about a year or a year and a half before they need to be replaced, but considering the price, I have no problem with that. They're wonderful and I love them. I'm on my third cloth diapered child and we've used pre-folds and Snappis on all three. We just love them. Very pleased with the product and the distributor. 5Cloth diapering necessity With having two of my five kids in diapers, using flats and covers is the most cost effective way to be able to cloth diaper them both.Snappis save the day for sure! I've been using Snappi cloth diaper fasteners on my kids since we began cloth diapering five years ago (seriously wish I would have cloth diapered the older three kids).I have never had a Snappi break or scratch one of the babies. I have scratched myself with them by grabbing them without looking first (and oh my Odin, never step on one!).I recommend Snappis to anyone looking to start cloth diapering. I've been making flats out of older fabric and my serger lately and the Snappis do just as well on them as they do on the pricey flats and prefolds. 5STILL MAKES DIAPERING A BREEZE!!! I have used the original product years ago when the Snappi was just put on the market from a stay at home mom who sold baby products from home!! That was back in the day before Amazon was all the craze!! ;) The Snappi's of yore were thicker and seemed more sound to pull and stretch! The current version I received has a flatter design which I can't complain about; it makes sense! I'm just worried about the thinness, hoping they don't break easily! I've read great reviews so..... Only time will tell if the new updated version of The Snappi hold up as well as their older original version! I had 3 of the older model and they lasted for 3 years with daily use!! They lasted on average about a year each. Two did break and third was left in drawer and became brittle over time. They are still a breeze to work with!! I do recommend using the end tabs to cover the sharp teeth when it is not in use! The tabs were put there for that purpose and NOT TO PULL and stretch the fastener! Simply hold the white grip to secure the fastener on!! Hope that helps anyone who might have broke a few or broke the flappy tabs!!I do also love the color options, the purple and gray are my fav!!! As, only mint green was available to me way back when!! 5
