Poorly Assembled Quality control of the finished product is poor. While the lamp is cute and modern with the linen canvas material and faux wood base, both lamps received were crooked, one more obviously so than the other. Construction is sturdy, so it wasn't damaged in transit, it was just mounted improperly during production. Too bad; deciding whether to send one or both back. 2Junky, lasted 1 year So I like the concept of the lamp, and how it looks. That's all ok, 3 stars for that. Definitely no more, as it does look very "basic".Now the build quality is crap. I have had to tighten this lamp into the nut that the pipe goes into (inside the base - not on the bottom, you need to remove a thin metal plate to get to it.). We run a bunch of vacation rentals, and ordered these for one unit... in every room. Big mistake. I'm spending too much time tightening these things. Amazon's reviews definitely let me down here. I guess people are reviewing brand new items, which when this was brand new, I would give 3-4 stars.ANYWAY, I hate fixing this POS. Why the hell doesn't locktight work on this? Probably has some sort of grease from the factory on the threads. The thin metal plate on the bottom is held on there with some weak adhesive, and this last time I cut myself pretty bad trying to get at the bolt, to fix the pipe coming out of the bottom. Enough! To the garbage with you!I did take out the charger, and the rest of the electronic components, and put it into a 3/4" gas pipe housing, and mountained the lamp shade on that. Looks great! Not worth the money though, or the blood. 1Bad Buy! Worst lamp ever!! Very badly made and surprised at the good ratings. The only thing I can think of is the earlier purchases were sent a more quality lamp. What I got was a cheaply made lamp of which the base was made of some type of lightweight material covered by what looked like a thin version of electrical tape that was coming apart at the corners. BRIGHTECH backs their product a 100% (AS STATED), commited to make sure you loved you purchase (AS STATED) and if not satisfied, wants to make things right (AS STATED)...well in looking into more of the customer reviews...you didn t do what you STATED. I WILL NOT be purchasing anything from BRIGHTECH in the future. 1This lamp is amazing!!!! I purchased two of these and with caution. After spending a few days looking around, shopping for some type of warm ambient lights, I finally decided to try these. Well long story short, I LOVE THEM. They changed the look and atmosphere of my workspace (cubicle) in a way that I never could imagine. Im not stressed out by the blaring fluorescent lights above, instead I can concentrate on my work and everyone that walks by complements the look and feel of my cubicle. I would definitely buy them again and I constantly referring these to my coworkers. The only thing I had to get used to is the slight flicker they have. It happens randomly an dI assume it has something to do with the outlet they are plugged into. If you are on the fence, then take the plunge, you won't regret it. 5I really love this lamp I really love this lamp. Its just what I wanted. But...the only thing I cant stand that needs to be changed is the 5VDC Max 1A label under the USB port. It needs to be an all plastic label that comes off of the product in one peace and does not have adhesive that stays on the product. The label used is plastic and paper. When I tried to peel the label off, only the plastic part with the letters came off and left the white paper with the adhesive stuck to the front of the base. It was a pain to get off. Very easy thing to fix from the supplier. Just a note.All in all, great lamp. perfect for my desk. :) 4As expected, look nice We chose this model over the countless similar ones because of the pull chain (rather than a cord switch) and the USB charging port.I ordered two, one for each side of the bed. I measured out the size before ordering so I knew that these were small. Definitely best for a desk or bedside tables. The included bulbs do light up a fair amount of the room, though we intend to use them mostly as reading lights.Here's some notes about the product: - Ours came with the pull chain (Mar, 2018) - The bulb included is a soft, clean white light, perfect for low-level lighting, though you can replace the bulb with anything up to 60W - I have tested each lamp's USB charging port and they work just fine--though they don't support fast-charging - They look pretty nice, for the price (see attached picture) - The only (potential) drawback is that the USB port and the wire are on adjacent sides of the base, and not opposite, which means if you want the USB port to face front, you'll see the wire coming out of the side of the base--wasn't enough for me to deduct a star. 5BEDSIDE READING IN STYLE This lamp was required to fit in a small space and it did that very well, simple in design but pleasing to the eye as well. We really like the LED bulb included, a nice extra that usually does not come with lamps from other suppliers, also the USB port is very handy to charge cell phones etc. All in all we are very pleased with this product, the price, and would recommend it to anyone requiring a practical well designed small table lamp, two thumbs up and five stars for sure. 5The light is perfect for bedroom The light is perfect for bedroom! It is a terrific bonus that these are warm LED bulbs! I purchased one lamp for each bedside table and the light is soft and warm but illuminates very well. When one lamp is on the light is easily sufficient for reading and television viewing and when both are on the room is completely but softly illuminated. If I had a criticism I would wish the lamp was just a few inches taller.If these lamps are durable over time (and they come with a 3 year warranty), they are a complete home run! 5They're nice, but beware. They are smaller than they look. It's cute. What I liked about it is the color and texture of the lampshade. Sort of reminded me of the kind of fabrics I remember on furniture when I was a kid in the 60s. I'm only giving it 4 stars because they are deceptively tiny. It's like they were built for little people to be used in a 3/4 sized house. I can't reach between the base and the lampshade to turn it on and off without bumping the lamp. I have to carefully slip two fingers in that little gap to do it. Because it's so short, it's not exactly a lamp you can use for reading. If you're sitting up in bed, it's probably going to be below you, if your night stand is level with your mattress. But they are pretty and they do make a warm and cozy light. So, 4 out of 5 for me. 4Pretty and functional So not sure what all the fuss was about in some of the reviews. I thought these lamps are pretty good. This is a newer model so it has the chain pull. It came with a working light bulb and it's charging my phone as I type. I'm glad I bought two of them. They are very bright so there is plenty of light for reading. 5
