I always feel cleaner when I scrub down with the buf-puf product.5Throwback from my youth, still a great product! I have suffered from acne my entire life. I finally found a face wash to combat it, but it leaves behind dry skin. Tons of it. This product polishes that all off without leaving redness or irritation. The gentlest motion with this sponge gives me the perfect exfoliation. 5Too Rough... I've tried the (MY) Konjac sponge, the (Appearus) cellulose sponge, and the (Buf-Puf) gentle sponge.Buf-Puf, despite it's description, was the least gentle of the 3... Way too rough to be used on the face. Physical exfoliation should actually be "gentle". The plus side was that it was the most porous. Maybe too porous since it barely held any water, but this would help in avoiding a moist environment for bacteria to thrive in (something the Konjac had trouble doing). 1Perfect for exfoliatingThis puff works great. Really helped to unplug pores and reduce breakouts. Especially in combination with sulfur soap.5Great skin care!I have used Buf-Pufs for at least 15 years, and was distressed to find them disappearing off my drug stores' shelves. As far as I am concerned, a simple and inexpensive Buf-Puf is able to thoroughly clean my face while giving me a mild, daily removal of dead skin cells -- instead of buying expensive creams to do the same. I believe that daily use of the Buf-Puf has kept my skin younger-looking. In fact, I stopped using the Buf-Puf for about six months several years ago, and my face started to look older, weather-beaten, and rough. Buf-Pufs keep your skin rejuvenated. I use mine with Neutragena face wash cream with anti-wrinkle and anti-acne properties.5Too rough and scratchy!I have always liked this product, and have used it for years. These things are the best.5Great Facial ScrubI used their daily scrubs for years (and years and years) so I was a bit disappointed when, for unexplained reason, they stopped making the daily scrubs and went to the larger scrub. I still miss those little presoaped scrubs - so handy for travel but I guess just supplying me with them wasn't enough. I have adapted to the larger size. I use whatever soap I have around to rub it across before washing my face. I even use one for a handy soap dish in the shower and then use on arms, legs, feet to exfoliate dead skin. Haven't traveled with the large size yet but will update when I have tried it out.4Somewhat rough on the skin. It's a little rough on my skin and leaves my skin somewhat red even tho i don't scrub hard with it. Would rather have a more gentle one. 3PROS AND CONS I use it very gently on my face and neck before using moisturizer and I only use every OTHER night.I also use on my hands and lower arms to help get rid of crepey skin look, then add lotion.GREAT to use with a bit of moisturizing gel in the shower before shaving legs. They feel TWICE as smooth!I have sensitive skin, so I know not to overdo, and this is great and lasts me about five or six weeks. 5Awesome exfoliator I've been using these for years and couldn't find them in any store. Thank goodness Amazon carries them. Mine were so old and thin since I use one nightly. Needed replacing very badly. Thank you for continuing to carry these for those of us who like to exfoliate on a daily basis. 5Hooked for Life!Been using the Buf Puf for apprx. 1 yr now and am 100% satisfied with results thus far.I am a 26 yo female that has been dealing with acne since about age 11. I had oily-senstive-acne prone skin that scarred easily and left dark spots. I tried countless products (that includes benzoyl peroxide,Proactiv and Accutane). And nothing consistently worked.Now...I use the BufPuf 2xs/day, morning and night with my fav facial cleanser(Purpose), followed by toner. That's it! And my skin is left soft, moisturized, acne and blemish free, and glowing. I get so many compliments and have got others hooked too. Mom uses it for even skin tone and wrinkle reduction. I would say it took about 6 months to completely rid the acne and dark spots/scars just because my skin was so terrible.Only reason not giving 5 stars: wish they were easier to find in local stores/gets costly as u will need to replace every 1-2 mos. depending on use/initially chaffed skin but the was my fault for scrubbing to hard.But the Pros definitely outweigh the Cons. Hope this helps!4Do not use if you can't handle deep exfoliaters.Love using these with my existing cleansers. Makes my face feel so much cleaner than just using an exfoliant. Must be gentle though otherwise you'll likely scratch your face. These are not for the faint of heart. I have super oily skin. Like to the point I can from combo skin after a shower to 5 hours later and having oil come away on my fingers so there aren't a lot of products that can make me feel clean. I use the shower pads too and love them. Always recommend for clean freaks.5Great gentle facial buffing sponge Have been using the Buf-Puf facial sponges since the early 1980s. Is great for sloughing off old, dead skin and keeping my complexion vibrant. Prefer the Extra Gentle, tho, but since 3M discontinued the "EG," the "Gentle" is the next best thing!(& refuse to pay $100+ by some scalpers selling the "Extra Gentle" Buf-Pufs on Amazon...could not believe it!) 4Great product.I can't live without this face buffer. Thanks!!5Watch the price for the best buy.One of my daughters has particularly sensitive skin and periodic acne outbreaks, so we have been searching for that perfect facial cleaner that would exfoliate without being irritating, painful or too abrasive. I purchased a single buf-puf along with several other facial sponges and she absolutely adores these! So much so that the other sponges have been relegated to the back of the vanity. I searched around in order to find a better price than what I had spent on the single (which was just under $5 elsewhere) and I came across these on Amazon @$10.88 for 3. This pack is the best price that I have found so far: the prices vary a lot - check before ordering - and some stores really charge a premium! Buf-pufs are meant to be disposable and each lasts about 2 weeks so cost is a large factor. I should note that I also purchased a pack of 6 of the extra-gentle buf pufs, too, at her request for those extra-sensitive days.5
