    After 2 weeks of intermittent use it leaks at both ... After 2 weeks of intermittent use it leaks at both ends where the metal sleeve attaches to the swivel connectors at each end. It did not leak initially so I assume the tension from being pulled caused the leaks. Of course, the reason you would want this device is to absorb that tension and spare it from your garden hose. Not worth going through the trouble of returning it so I will just toss it and absorb the loss. 1Inferior to melnor After ordering the camco flex hose I found one from Melnor at Home Depot. Comparing the two I noticed the following, melnor has larger diameter wire, goes through the brass coupling, does not stop on the hose section like the camco, melnor has larger diameter hose, more threads on the male connector size (may help prevent leaking which seems to be a problem with camco connector. Brass Vs plastic female connector, plastic would seem easier to work with, but brass won t break. I bought the camco for 3.90, melnor was 5.49 at Home Depot, didn t check amazon.I gave the camco hose away to a friend who recommended the camco water filters. 2Great short hose, helpful in many applications - UPDATED Pretty helpful item, especially on my Watts RV Water Softener which does not have a rotating input, makes it real difficult to screw in any length of hose. It is pretty strong, however, of the three I've owned, two have leaked at the female end. One was likely just due to age, but the second was my brand new backup.I still use these and will for a long time, just bad luck, I hope.UPDATE: I've had three or four of these now and they do not last long. Seems like after I use them once or twice, they develop a leak. I stay in one place for months at a time so they have been useful, however I simply resorted to making my own small piece once I needed to replace the end of a longer hose. I will not purchase another of these. 1Leaks! The manufacturing quality on these is poor. If you twist the metal connector against the flexible hose portion at all it breaks the adhesive and creates a leak. Any hose connector that is so vulnerable to twist damage like this a poor product. Hose connectors must be twisted on and off their corresponding fawcets and therefore must be resilient to tightening and loosening motions. This product is not. Total waste of money. Garbage product. 1LEAKS! These things are garbage. While they do no kink, I have yet to get one that doesn't leak. When I connect water hoses, call me crazy, but I don't want the things to leak. I don't want the water everywhere and I just want it to work. Water has leaked on all three of these that I've purchased from the female end from around the brass. I've replaced with several different washers and it still leaks. Cameo makes some nice products and some not so nice. These fall in the not so nice category. 1Product is Junk Flimsy design. Leaks like a sieve even after tightening with pliers. Talked to several other RVers who had bought this product and they confirmed this product is junk. Do not waste your money. 1The ends are the cheapest quality available and leak if ... The ends are the cheapest quality available and leak if moved slightly from straight. Get a heavier duty model or make your own with hose repair kit. I had to fix mine after the first use and the repair kit end is much sturdier. 1Hose end popped off Hose end popped off while it was connected to my trailer and water sprayed everywhere. I am lucky I was outside of the trailer and heard the water hitting the ground. It would have wasted a lot of water if I was not at the trailer. Hose is cheaply made and I cannot rely on this hose. I will be looking for a new hose protector that I can depend on. 1i have no leaks. I am full time in RVs. I have three RVs each having one of these strain relief devices. I use these devices at the shore end of the hose. The water pressure where I use them never exceeds 55PSI. I have no issues with leaks on any of these. I do replace them once a year. I wonder if others who have leaks have high pressure issues. I noted one critical review said they even used pliers. I have weak grip in both hands and I use only my hands in work gloves to tighten the connection. 5Poorly manufactured and leaks! I do not recommend. After securely attaching this product to the Nautilus Water Control System in our brand new 2018 RV and the water hose we had water leaking all over the interior of the storage compartment from the seam between the female end of the hose. This is definitely a manufacturing defect. We had to completely empty our storage compartment. This product was recommended by CAMCO to be used to avoid crimping and straining of a hose which could cause water leakage and the product did exactly what it was suppose to prevent! This caused damage to the flooring of our brand new RV and items in our RV.I am still requesting my $3. 50 back from Amazon even though it wasn't used within 30 days. Not everyone that buys RV products goes RVing every 30 days. Amazon needs to extend there return policy when manufacture defects occur! 1
