Customer Reviews

A "must have" that could be much better designed & madeThis carrying cased is really a "must have" for the two burner Camp Chef stove. However, 2 things keep it from getting 5 stars.1st, the inside pockets for the legs and accessories have a really poor design. There's 4 legs. There's only 2 slots for legs. (See pic). Therefore, you have to put 2 in a slot, so they can rub against each other / get scratched up and/or break off the thumb screws. Kinda dumb. How hard is it to sew two other stitch lines so there's 4 slots? Also, the only other accessory slot is for the windscreen. Great, but also bought your griddle grease cup. Where do I put that? No other slots. I'm not going to slap the stove in a bag and then try to carry around its accessories separately. Again, Camp Chef, not so bright for spurring sales. I assume you want us to buy your accessories, so why not create a carrying case that has room for all of them? Maybe you could rename your bag design group the "sales prevention department?"2nd, I haven't had my particular case long enough to assess wear and tear, but I use the same stove that belongs to a volunteer group with the same exact bag, and it hasn't worn well. Perhaps it's treated a bit roughly by people in the group? but it's ripped and torn. I'll try to be more careful with mine and hope it lasts longer, but the material isn't super thick relative to the weight and sharp metal corners it's carrying. Should use thicker/stronger material or reinforce the edges better.I don't think it makes sense to NOT buy this carrying bag, but I wish it was a better made in these two regards, CampChef. 4It's OK. It does the job. This carrying bag made it easier to lug around our Camp Chef stove this summer, but it certainly could have been made better; especially considering its price. The material is a bit flimsy, but, I had no problems fitting the stove inside of the bag. Unlike some of the reports that I read on here, I had no kind of a struggle to get everything into the carrying case. There was plenty of room and no concern that anything would tear from making it all fit. Overall, the bag served its purpose. It made transporting that stove easier. Nevertheless, it is made of cheap materials. I'm not convinced that it will last very long. 3Keep your stove box to use in this bagI kept the box my stove came in. Cut one side of the box on 3 edges leaving the 4th edge in tact as a hinge. Reinforced all of the corners with duct tape. This improved the bags function tremendously and will make it last much longer. 5Fits my 2 burner Camp Chef stove nicelyI am going to rate this but let it be known that I pretty much just received this a few days ago. I am rating it because it seems to be pretty nice and holds the stove well. I can not give it a 5 due to the fact that the Velcro on the handle strap that puts the 2 handles together is coming off. The threads are not tied in well so it is coming unraveled. My wife said she can fix it. Other than that I feel it is fairly made and should last a long time is I take care and not rough house it. 4Absolute QualityI purchased the Camp Chef Explorer 60 camp stove along with this Cary bag. The cordura is heavy duty enough to last a lifetime. Later I purchased the Camp Chef fold out end shelves. I am impressed that the bag was pre-designed to accommodate the end attachments. Fits easily over the stove and attachments. THEY DIDNT SKIMP ON THIS ONE!I'm a bit OCD when it comes to quality but I can definitely give this one 5 stars with no reservations. 5... add to what others have said but its a great bag with heavy duty ziippersNot sure I can add to what others have said but its a great bag with heavy duty ziippers, stitching, and handles loop all the way around to support the weight. I believe it will hold up for several years with care and store properly (in the garage or shed and out of the rain and sun). The full length griddle fits also but the weight then makes it a 2 person carry so I opted to use the box for the griddle and carry it separately. Without the griddle in the bag, the stove flops around so I took others suggestions and put the whole box in the bag and cut the lid so it opens from the top. I like how the legs and wind screen store in pockets in the side and there is plenty of room in the bag to carry other accessories. All in all, I would not own the stove without the carry bag if you plan to move it around. Great value! 5Does the job but will not hold up for longBought this for my 2 burner camp chef. 5 stars on layout design, very smart having slots for the legs and stove back. The quality of this cover is extremely poor though, after one camping trip there are already 2 holes in random places on the bag, they should have used a heavier nylon or canvas for this bag considering the size, weight and shape of the item that it is supposed to protect. Keep in mind this was put in the back of a truck, unpacked then repacked at the end of the trip, lightly used is an understatement. I emailed camp chef seperately on these concerns. 3Keep the box, and put inside the bag.I did what others cleverly mentioned to do, which is make use of the box the stove came in for more protection and to provide structure to the bag. The bag easily accommodates the box and with room to spare. This is a great idea. I did cut out extraneous side flaps and the shorter lengthwise bottom flap.I don't really have a con, though I might suggest to the mfr to go with one grade heavier durability in the bag. That's not to say the bag is flimsy because it's not. Just my opinion that the next grade or 2 up would be really impressive. As it is, the bag is well made and the stitching is solid. 5AMAZING for ExpeditionFits like a glove! I didn't realize there are slots for the legs & splatter guard. (I would give an extra star). This bag is totally worth the price. Although I would like to pay less. It's made of heavy material & zipper. A+ on construction.I was also easily able to store the cast iron griddle & the grill cover (which adds extra cush) inside this bag. 5Very Smart Choice for Your Storage Needs. This is the perfect storage bag for the Camp Chef double burner stove. I took the advice of a previous reviewer and used the box inside the storage bag for better content support. The bag itself is nothing more than a rectangular duffel bag with no support at all. But the box fits nicely inside the bag, and with a few cuts and a little extra tape and glue I transformed the box to work in unison with the bag. I still use the bag that came with the original unit to keep the legs and windscreen together at the bottom of the box instead of the pockets sewn into the lid of the bag. There appears to be a little extra space in the bag if you wanted to keep small accessories in there also. This appears to be a durable bag, although I have just purchased it and time will tell. 5
