    Totally satisfiedPurchased and installed two of these two and a half months ago to restore regularly-used 10 year-old kitchen island stools with deteriorating swivel plates that began to rattle and shake. These swivel plates are solid and well-constructed; a welcome upgrade from the original swivels. Easy to replace. They glide smoothly under frequent use including that of a 5 year-old grandson! I am ordering two more plates to install on the remaining stools because of the solid performance of the first two.5Heavy DutyThese are definitely heavy-duty. I used a set of 3 as replacement on 10-year old bar stools. Took me 15 minutes to install all 3 swivels. The "only" downside is that these are truly "raw-cut" - no powder coating and no rounded edges (they're pretty sharp on the edges). I'd definitely suggest handling with gloves during the install unless you're OK with little metal splinters!!4Better than original swivelsI purchased very nice Hawaiian style bar stools from a very nice furniture store on Maui. I really like the bar stools, but they would not hardly swivel. If I tried to swivel the seat portion without sitting on the chair the bottom portion would turn instead of the seat portion. If I sat in the chair and tried to swivel the seat portion, I could hardly rotate the seat at all. I purchased these swivels and when I first tried to turn the swivel by hand, I could not turn them at all. You have to turn them in order to install them. I used a couple screw drivers through the mounting holes and I was able to turn them and install them on the bar stools. Once installed, I could rotate the seat portion with out sitting and I could easily rotate all the way around if sitting. I had ordered two at first just to try them, now I ordered two more because I have four bar stools. A happy customer!!!4swivelI ordered this swivel for a bar stool. I bought the bar stool New from a store going out of business so all sales were final. I came home and the swivel was broke beyond repair, so I looked on Amazon and found the part for less then $18.00 including shopping.The stool was $10.00 so I paid less then $30.00 for a bar stool this was originally $150.00.The swivel I bought from a seller on Amazon was a much better part then the one that was broken many more bearings .So I'm very pleased with my purchase and very nice bar stool.Thanks to the seller and to Amazon.5They are very tight at first when you try to turn them by hand but swivel very nicely on the chairsGave my bar stools a second life! I had some bar stools with cheep swivel plates that lost the ball bearings and these fixed them. The bar stools were metric so they didn't fit exactly but we were able to remove enough material with a drill to get them to fit. They are very tight at first when you try to turn them by hand but swivel very nicely on the chairs. Seem to be good quality.5A very rugged swivel system.Cheap stools that the swivel system lasted about a year. These are great. Is easy to replace the old ones and these are built to last. They are a little stiff which my wife isn't quite as excited about but it is a great product.5Repair the chair!Was almost talked into giving away a 40 year old rattan dining set (and replacing it at a cost of around $4K) because the four swivel chairs had either ceased swiveling entirely or shrieked like a banshee while swiveling. On a whim, researched "chair swivels" and discovered a whole industry around this product. The product we selected was delivered THE NEXT DAY, proved easy to install, and worked perfectly and much smoother than the originals ever did. Wish we had thought to research this sooner. Would recommend this to anyone with sticking swivel chairs.5Too stiffToo stiff, even after 6 months of use. I thought maybe it would loosen up, and even sprayed with WD40 to try to loosen, but it's very tight such that if I try to rotate the chair by hand, the whole chair moves. I have to sit on it in order to rotate it, and even then it's a struggle. I appreciate that it is not flimsy and loose, but it needs to be somewhere in the middle.2These swivel plates saved my barstools!Purchased these to try and salvage my swivel barstools. They worked PERFECTLY! I was trying anything to not have to buy new barstools, as they are expensive and I love the ones I have, but the original swivel plates were worn out. Found these on Amazon and figured it couldn't hurt to give them a try. So glad I did. They saved my barstools!5great replacement item!The swivel in my 10 year old bar stools had seen better days, they were wobbly and didn't swivel very well anymore - Amazon to the rescue! I ordered one to try it out, worked perfect and took about 10-15 minutes to install - I have ordered 3 more to update the remainder of my bar stools - these are much better than what the chairs came with and made in the USA is a super nice added bonus!5
