Flimsy and cheaply made. Bends easily.Thin and flimsy. Bends easily. Cheaply made. 1Thumbs DownI wanted another simple metal spatula to back up my husband's mother's 1960s version, that happens be a great tool. Unfortunately, this particular spatula isn't it. I'll use it, but the curved edge that is also too thick doesn't pick up food as well. It doesn't scrape anywhere near as well as that old version. I am disappointed. 2Eh...Not stainlessSturdy, pretty substantial metal utensils. One spoon is dedicated for making soap, the other pieces of the set are being used in my kitchen. The handles get uncomfortable if you have to hold one for more than a few minutes, otherwise they're good.Update! Apparently not actually stainless steel. Used the large spoon ONE time to stir lye water for making soap. The spoon is badly discolored where it came into contact with the lye solution, showing lots of black and the mirror shine is stripped off completely. By way of comparison, the stainless steel pitcher I mixed the lye water in shows no change at all, still bright and shiny and no discoloration or pitting. 2BeautifulBetter than I expected. I just recently started to buy serious kitchen stuff, when I finally got the apartment where I can enjoy cooking. I hate plastic and naylon cheap dish, so I couldn't wait to buy stainless steel product for soups and stews that I like so much. It is heavy, beautiful, and great quality. I'm using it for a while now, it's still as shiny as can be, and I love to take pics with my meals and to send to my mom who also noticed it even I said nothing about :-) 5You have to GET this SET!This is really a beautiful set of stainless steel utensils. I love that the heads are shiny but the handles look brushed and there is some fine detail in the neck that is just beautiful. They are a bit on the thin side so I must be honest you could probably bend them in half with some force BUT...they are more than durable enough for daily use and I love the lightweight but sturdy feel so for me they WORK! My favorite is the ladel which is deep and well balanced. Great set for the price! 5I'm happy!I'm happy with the overall quality, given the price. As someone that has only ever used silicone kitchen tools, I'm very happy with these. I have though, after about six months, started to see signs of use on them but that's because they are getting used a bit! I'm not sure if that's normal for "stainless steel" stuff, but it doesn't really bother me; I was just looking for something sturdier than the cheap set I bought at a department store. 4Great replacement for plastic setI purchased these to replace a cheap plastic set I picked up about 10 years ago. While the plastic worked okay, it was becoming more bendable and showing it's age. It was not going to last much longer, and I was looking for something with better quality. The item out of this set I use the most is the ladel. I love this for when I make home made soup. It holds enough, but I still feel like I have good control over the spoon to not spill as I move the liquid. I also really like the slotted spoon. This works well when I make things in my crock pot and what to get things out of the juice. I highly recommend this set! 5OK ToolsThis set is just okay, not heavy duty at all. I ordered it specifically for the fork but that fork is so flimsy I wouldn't try to lift a chicken, let alone a turkey, with it. This set is very basic for very basic cooking, nothing heavy-duty. I 3UselessIt's a lot smaller than I expected, but it probably told me that in the description. What really surprised me was that the edge is curved. The edge of a spatula needs to be flat/straight to scrape the bottom of a pan. As if that wasn't enough, I leaned it over the edge of the pan, as I've been doing with my old spatula for years, and it slid off then fell to the floor. I was lucky to have another spatula available. This one is junk. 2Easy to use and nice looking - they just work.I really like these kitchen tools. There's nothing fancy about them, they just work. I use them with cast iron cookware and they perform wonderfully time after time.They are shiny, thick and strong, easy to clean.To maintain that shine, avoid using abrasive pads like 3M green pads. I scratched one up (should've known!). It still works fine, just has a bunch of little scratches.The back of the handle can feel a little sharp on the edges but it's not cut-your-fingers sharp, it just takes a little getting used to if you're switching from plastic or rubber-handled utensils. The benefit of inexpensive stainless steel utensils that really work outweighs the handle comfort bit many times over.Wow your friends with your awesome food & forego the $50 spatula. 5
