    Light does not turn off completely after 6 monthsIt functions well about 6 months, then it has half of the lights stay on when inactive, I suspect cheap electronic components made in China lead to the failure, not much quality in this package.3Light won't turn on automaticallyI have installed one of these successfully in the past, but this one will not turn on automatically when I open the door. The instructions for correcting this are unclear.3He willed it, and at once there was light.Yeah 5 stars, this is the star of my recent bedroom renovation, open the door and the wonderful light magically comes on to gasps from all beholders. Unlike a bulb at the top that throws nothing but shade , the strip illuminates from floor to ceiling ( I ran it around the inside door trim ). Downside , price.. I bet if you shop around you can find a motion detector and LED strip pretty cheap.5sensor is quick and efficient and lights are the perfect brightness. I am thinking about purchasing additional kits for the rest of my closets.5MyLight Me LED Closet light kit.Closet light kit, super easy to install. Peel and stick the LED light strip, plug in the power transformer, and last, locate the light sensor. Used some temp tape until i found the right sensor location. Light is more than adequate for a double closet, and the LED color is a warm white and just right for illuminating hanging clothes.5Great lighting for closet or pantryI have a small kitchen pantry which was not previously lighted. I had an electrician come to install an outlet in the closet. It took about 30 minutes to install the lights and they work GREAT!! The motion detector is very effective and the lights make it so much easier to see what is in the pantry. I wish I had done this years ago.5make sure you have a closet outletHow many closets have outlets in them? Needs to be more clear that you need an outlet for this. There's a huge plug and lots of cable.2A Pleasant SurpriseJust what we needed to light a dark pantry closet in our kitchen. Product quality is very good. Motion sensor turns the lights on very quickly. 3M adhesive backing on LED light strip and motion sensor made installation a breeze. Would definitely recommend this product.5Quite the item!Arrived in under two days and is quite the item. Easy to install. One caveat: take care to remove the 3M taping from the tab on the wire side. Removing it from the wrong side removes the glue. The tape sticks readily and is quite sticky as is the sensor. I timed it for two and half minutes. Works almost like a charm but I have discovered that I have to really make some movement (like shaking the clothing or something) to turn the lights on. Just opening the closet door does not appear to be enough, even though the sensor is located next to it. At least that will prevent the lights from coming on with the slightest motion, which might not be such a great thing. The strip was more than long enough for my rather lengthy bedroom closet and I wrapped the surplus around the side and rear walls, providing even more light. The tiny bulbs provide substantial lighting, btw.5Beautiful, and easily installed with careI used this light in a closet to replace the incandescent bulb in a porcelain pull-chain fixture. I removed the fixture and installed a standard outlet for power, but if you're not into electrical work a screw-in adapter should work just as well.This light provides a warm yellowish light. The brightness is just about perfect for the 6' (or so) wide closet I installed it in. The light strip itself was long enough to go across the closet ceiling and extend down each wall a couple of feet. The resulting distributed light does an excellent job of illuminating the closet. Installation was very easy.On the down side, the motion sensor seems too insensitive. I would like a more sensitive sensor, preferably one with a sensitivity adjustment. Also, as another reviewer noted, you have to be careful about how you remove the tape from the light strip, since doing so incorrectly will remove the glue. I almost did this.The nature of LED strip lights is that they are unattractive, so plan on installing these where they will not be seen, like just inside the closet opening.Finally, make sure you have extra cable staples on hand. The supplied cords are quite long, and chances are you'll have several feet of cord that you'll want to have neatly tucked away.5
