They were sharp and comfortable for me but I found rust on blade the morning after the first time I used them to trim nandina bushes. 1Great Pruners my first pair that has lasted all season. Worth every $ 5Awful quality control of stamped parts! Right out of the box the locking mechanism of the shear was not working. It looks like the part was stamped from steel but never test fitted. They just cut it and installed it without checking if it works. As it turns out the piece of stamped metal that rotates around to lock the shears closed was too big. There was no way to close without exerting lots of force and even then it just barely fit into the groove. The thing could easily pop loose and you would have this thing open in your pocket or worse yet in your hand when you did not expect it. The solution for me was to remove the stamped metal part (one screw holds it in place) and file it down slightly using my bench top grinder. This is not something I should have had to do which is why I can say don't waste your time with Corona pruners. Their lack of quality control is inexcusable. I am going to keep it just because it is too much of a hassle to send it back but I also ordered a Felco pruner. I already had a felco anvil type pruner and am now getting a felco bypass pruner. If you want a tool that just works without giving you a hassle spend the extra money and buy a Felco. 2These pruners are wicked sharp and should be treated as ... Due to being extra sharp these pruners work extremely well. 5Quality build Compares favorably w Felco at a fraction of the cost 4Nice clean cuts! These pruners do a wonderful job. We've been using them every weekend (and some weekdays) since we've had them. Little effort is needed to cut through branches. It even does a nice job dead-heading my flowers. The blade is starting to show that it has been used, but we really have been using it a TON!
