    Fairly pleased with this towel setFairly pleased with this towel set. Definitely soft, but doesn't seem to be as absorbent as most of the other towels that I have used. EDIT: Have been using the towels now for a couple months. After a few washes, for whatever the reason the towels seem to be more absorbent. They are still quite soft. I originally gave this a 4 start, but would upgrade to 4.5 star based on their value now. Their color is still holding up well and hasn't faded. If they last like this for another 6 months I would upgrade to a five star!4Not as I would like.Arrived quickly but towels look a bit different - have a darker line in them as a detail and I was looking for a plain grey towel - the picture makes them look like a nice plain darker grey so that was disappointing. They haven't been washed as they were supposed to be a gift but they arrived very flat and didn't feel luxurious, soft or nice - They feel like a low quality Walmart towel. Other reviewers said they got nicer with washing. Normally I wouldn't order towels from an online because you can't feel them prior to buying - regretting buying these as they really aren't nice enough quality to give as a gift. Guess you get what you pay for. :-( Still deciding if I should return them.2Save yourself the hassle and pay twice the price at Target.Do not buy these towels. It said on the label to wash them a few times alone before washing with other things. These towels have not only dyed everything in my house blue (3 months into owning them), they have and continue to leave blue fuzzes on EVERYTHING in my house. Save yourself the hassle and pay twice the price at Target.1Perfect color, soft, ample sizeWe need different color towels to keep mine, my husband's and my mother-in-law's towels separate. I bought these burgundy ones for me. They are ample size and match our decor perfectly. They are soft and absorbent. Wash them with other reds and browns because the dye in the towels bleeds some. Like most deeply colored fabric the fading stops after a few washes. In short, I like these towels.4Nice, soft & a gorgeous color... Holding up well so far.Since I am stocking up my bathroom at a new place, I purchased a set of these towels, After using them for a few weeks, I came back and bought another set.To begin with, the teal color is beautiful. (I never thought I would say that about towels, so, that shows you how much I've decided I like these.) They are soft, and a nice medium weight. They are not so thin that you feel like you're drying yourself off with paper, and not so thick and heavy that you feel like you're using a Persian carpet. (I purchased separately a set of expensive Superior brand towels in a nearly-identical shade to leave out for guests/for display which are so heavy and thick that I could barely fold them. I think I would have trouble holding onto one if I were to try and use it to dry myself with.) Let's face it: these are not extremely fancy "hotel quality" towels, but they are decently priced for a set, and excepting the trim, they are 100% cotton. (Something about microfiber towels, or ones that are polyester blends just makes my skin crawl. Individual cotton fibers can absorb water in addition to the space between threads, whereas fabrics made of polyester fibers can only absorb water into the space between threads.)Upon receiving these, I immediately washed them. (Cold, just a few drops of detergent, and with a pre-soak setting.) Like all new towels are wont, they left a ridiculous amount of lint in the dryer after the first wash (and a few smudges of lint here or there when used to dry,) but subsequently they have not shed any more than I would expect. With newer laundry machines, washing in cold-water is actually feasible, so I think the color and substance of these towels will hold up for a decent amount of time. I also purchased a matching set of bath mats from the same brand that I am very pleased with.5Descent for this price..but color is not the same.Descent towels for this price, color is not what the picture shows.Update: Washed 3x per instructions and after using them, it does leave lint/ fuzzy stuff on you. Maybe after a couple of more washes and uses it will stop. So changing 4 Stars to 2 Stars until lint/fuzzy stops sticking on me.2TERRIBLE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT I purchased two sets. Lucky I read the instructions. It said to wash two or three times before use AND there would be some lint at first. Well I had to wash them separately Good thing ! After the first load of the dark color there was a lot of lint in the WASHER TUB, when I dried them the lint trap was three inches deep in lint. I have never seen anything like it. I have washed both sets four times, and the lint trap is still loaded. As long as you have them you will have to wash them separately.not worth the effort. 1Ugly / still shed after many washes / dye turns everything green!!Really ugly color (turquoise/teal) looked more like a confused forest green ... the black lines / detail made them look very unattractive... shed all over my dryer and ruined multiple other towels after multiple washes - everything was green!!! :( returned1Super pleasant surprise. I seriously did not have high expectations for these towels. I got them because my old ones were looking tattered and I was getting ready for a house full of family and their dogs. I waited them to wash up horribly, I waited for them to cover me with lint and fray... Boy was I surprised. They are light but absorbant a really decent size, and wash up great. Already ordered more to replace the very towel I own. I never write reviews on anything but I made an acception for this one. 5COTTON CRAFT TOWELS ARE THE WORST TOWELS I EVER BOUGHT IN 50 YEARS !Of All the towels I have bought over 50 years of marriage, Cotton Craft are the WORST !!! They look nice, nice color and pile...but BEWARE of washing them. They ruined a whole load of clothes because all the pile shredded off of them onto the other clothes. Terrible ! I have never had that happen in all of the 50 plus years I have purchased other brands of towels. In fact 2 days earlier I purchased 2 other colors and brands, washed them without incident. I washed Cotton Craft 3 times and still terrible. I am throwing them out. BUYER BEWARE !!!1Loose threads One of the bath towels has long threads coming out from the terry cloth. This started happening the third wash or so. Towels are laundered separately, so the towels aren't catching on buttons or hooks, and if that were the case, everything would be unraveling. Other than that, they are soft and absorbent. 3Good Basic SetI purchased these to replace some old, balding towels and they're a good, basic towel set.I wasn't sure they were going to be much of anything since they come extremely compressed, but they turned out quite fluffy after several times through the washer and dryer. They're not super soft but they're not scratchy either and are a good size.These are not bleach safe as other other brands, so make sure to keep the bleach away or use color safe bleach. I now have one pale blue face cloth to prove this. :)Overall, these are a good value and a solid basic set suitable for college students or first apartments (or people like me who just want a basic towel).4WORST PURCHASE IN MY ENTIRE LIFEAwful towels! I will attach photos where you can see how little pieces of this towel cover my bathroom. It's awful! I threw them out! We couldn't even use them as a rag. It's definitely the worst towel ever.1
